Hello I am Canadian and was wondering roughly an estimated value on this bike.Paint is original except the Dial Your Ride fork piece which was repainted.Looks to be complete.Missing top half of delta rocket ray.Horn in tank is original Delta but I havent tried to get it working.Tires are new and...
So I was looking at the grips on my Pacemaker and they actually read Mercury on them and are in great shape.Did originals come with these torpedo style grips marked with Mercury?
This is the before and after shot.I took the top layer of brushed paint and uncovered this sexy original paint underneath. Now the paint is all original=]
Another thing, does your white pin striping look like a child did it?lol I am asking cause it is hard to tell if someone touched my white pin striping up.In some places it does look sloppy and not very straight.thx=]
Weird your rims are painted as mine are chrome,so maybe they came with either.Does your fender have a black pinstripe beside the white? It is hard for me to tell.Mine has the white pinstripe that separates the red from the black front but it also has a black pinstripe beside the white which looks...
Nice,is yours painted or original?I can see where there was a decal on my chain guard that looks like it reads airflo. In the grooves of the chain guard/fender light/tank/rear rak,are those grooves suppose to be red as well?
I also used a little trick I learned to get a top layer of paint of original paint and have so far done my front fender and underneath is the original vibrant red it is suppose to be.So the black frame and forks are original paint and when i am done the red will be as well,so all original paint=]
Ya I am going to redo mine with the same two tone blue, with white pin striping.I love the way the bike looks but the old owner put that maroon in the picture and to me it just doesnt match.I love the 2 tone blue.So far ahead of technology in that era and at 87 dollars a bike I have found info...
Nice,I have a Shelby train light that almost looks identical,I may use.I do notice our racks are diff.I think mine is the standard. My bike may be a Western Flyer pacemaker, either way I have 3 holes on my front fender for something to mount to.I am prob just going to give this a proper repaint...
Well Nick,I am so glad you posted this as this past weekend I got the same bike in that add and mine had a western flyer fender ornament. When I looked under the fender, there is actually 3 holes. Then after seeing this add.It all makes sense,as that train style light prob takes 3 screws to...
So what is the diff between the 2,being aviator fender mount and Western flyer vs your bike? Are these 2 separate models?I am just tryin to gain info as this is the 1st I have seen or had=]
Ya,as I look at mine,my rear is very pointy and my front looks more like your maroon pics.It just looks like it was some how bent in because it deff doesnt look factory bent.i love the look in maroon.I do not think the 39s had the mercury on the headshroud like your 40.My researching it looks...
39 Mercury pacemaker
I looked at the front fender and it actually does come to a point, but for some reason is kinda bent under a bit and was straightened back out.If you look at this add pic I posted.the color scheme is actually close.I dont understand why he used the maroon.I can see a touch...
Hello,I picked this bike up,this past week and was wondering if anyone had any knowledge on it.I was told it is a 1950s Shelby Airflo, model 52a.Was also wondering if someone knew how to date these by the serial number.I was told this bike was actually produced to compete with the Schwinn Phantom...

Nice find I actually just came by the same bike but mine was red and a mans.Unfortunately mine was missing key parts and paint wasn't original.I am still pondering if it is worth the restoration.I wanna say that bike is 1948 with the separate rear bumper/reflector and paint scheme and first year...
Hello everyone,I picked up a 1948 Monark Super deluxe,26'' balloon tire bicycle this week.I have found alot of info on this bike online but cannot seem to find what colors they came in.In 1948 I see they used 3 colors for the super deluxe, but I cannot tell if the tank/chain guard and front...
Hello all.I just picked up a 1965 Schwinn Mark V1 Jaguar, and was wondering what you figure the market would bring on it.It has the original Schwinn Westwind tires,4 reflectors on the back rack, original horn unit works great, front rack, back teardrop reflector etc.I was also wondering why I can...
Hello,I am new to this forum and was looking for some help on a bicycle I obtained this week.It is a 1965 Schwinn Mark V1 jaguar which seems to be all original. My concern is that when I look in the 1965 Schwinn catalog it shows a jaguar mark 1V,where as my bike reads jaguar V1.I do know jaguars...
Here is my sexy offbrand bike=]
1969/70 BRC JaguarCompletely original, right down to the tractor grip rear rubber/gear and brake cables/padsexcept chainguard, which looks identical to this one but has a decal of Jaguar and brc.I am actually going to buy the original NOS chainguard from a guy up...
Hello I just picked up a gold mens BRC Jaguar 5 speed muscle bike.It has the Shimano shifter on the top bar.The shifter is a cream colour with a T top handle and is inscribed with 333 which I think is a Shimano mark. All derailuer clips and parts have the 333 or read shimano. This bike has a very...
Very nice bike and in amazing shape.Hopefully you will leave it just as you got it in original condition. It will always hold its value, where,if you paint it etc it will drop to like half right away. All seems to be original where light and back rack would have been an assesory.I was looking at an...
Ok but I think someone would have to be nuts to restore this bike,as it is in great shape and rides like a dream.Has the original New Departure back hub, coaster brake, front tire hub reads schwinn, and the original rubber is still there and riding strong=]Weird thing is the fender braces are...
So if Schwinn New World lightweight bike was created in 1938.This means my bike is either 1st year production 1938 or early 1939 as a wartime bike would be 1939---1945 correct? And if so,are these bikes at all sought after or rare.Reason I am asking,as I am thinking of selling it,as it is in...
The fender braces on the bike are blacked out with shiney chrome under the blackout. The tires say schwinn straight side touring and are both the same it is a coaster single speed. The weird thing is it reads The World on the downtube, most ive seen say Schwinn new World. The headbadge reads new...
