I'm still around, just tied up with other stuff for a bit. The CT group is still with me and grows a little from time to time, PLENTY to work on there!! Added Shed #4 a little more than a year ago 1/21/21, but it is now stuffed too.
@tacochris
This is the 20" bike before I did anything to it (As Bought)
There! S/N R74986 makes it a '55 - Maybe one day I'll run across a 16" version too...
Not looking too hard though - retirement is not all I thought it would be.

Most of today was spent trying to get the alarm system working again. They will be sending someone out on Thursday - Hope Everything is still there at that time!! This seems like a continual source of thorns under my butt!!Oh the fun.....

I did get a NICE fade matched chainguard for one of...
Have seen this before - and have repaired same. The bike was / is just fine. The painter called me after putting color on and was having a fit because the frame was cracked - ground it and showed him it was not, brazed it up, filed it smooth and he shot it again for no charge. Have gone through...
Stoney,
Do you know of a source for the 20 X 1&3/4 tire with a red stripe? I'd love to have one for something I'm gathering for.... It isn't black....and it isn't quite a Sting Ray, but it IS a 20" bike!
n this situation, photos are absolutely necessary Shots of both sides and specific to the area of the needed parts. I don't know if I can help or not, but without photos there is little I can do. Serial number is also a help..
Thanks!!

I will post another picture later today - the chainguard was ruined due to the clumsiness of the seller. I have a different guard that I will put with the frame and fork and the price will be reduced.
I bought this bike Frame/Fork/Guard 3/16/2010 and it became one of the first of my 20" Binge projects- "Rat'S'nottakrate". I resisted refinishing it as the finish was the OG paint and I could not let myself do it. In July of this year, I ran across another frame of the same type and this one...
Damn that is nice!!!!! Love it and hope your luck goes well with the sale. If I had the money sitting, I'd put it right alongside the one I have already. Mine is not as purty as this one is though!! Mine is a repaint (I think,)
and not done to the level this one is..

Catalog art is often a bit away from reality - I have not yet owned a pre-war CT with a chrome guard, and have only seen a couple. I have a few of these, and bought a chrome repop guard from Dan Venturi (Bicycle Bones). He sells the painted one as well. I think I have one of each on the shelf in...
I have two of the se - one is a "Bicycle Built For Two", The other is a Twinn. First is the '63 "trellis" model BBFT: (photo is from ad where I bought it! It's currently hanging on the wall in the storage shed')
Second is the '64 Twinn:
The rear rack has been adjusted since this photo qas...
I have a couple of Typhoons among the local group here. I really like the '62 models, but am not limited to that year only. Here are the Trio of '62s, and the other stuff as well. My computer died two days ago and I am not sure what I had saved - so here we go:
20" '62:
Under construction '62...
Here's a slightly modified one: 1959 20" girls Tornado frame up front with modified rear section and 24" balloon tires out back. 26" Spring fork up front
Would like to see the whole bike - makes life easier. Don't like trying to do this without more visual information. Mark Smith had/has '36 Cycleplane with P19344
Looks like a '33 number to me as well. I have a similar number showing on another '33 with 4 digits, though both of my '33's have one more digit on them.

If my memory serves me correctly, I have an old article here somewhere regarding this particular subject. I'll see if I can find it later...
This is the 7th one of these that comes up in the range of numbers beginning with X that I have listed on my spreadsheet, however, this one has more photos showing the points that would indicate it is another one of the mis-stamps from early post war. The characteristics of the frame lead me to...
I found a frame and some pieces on a classified ad page years ago, and could not believe that it was what it was. After a long period of rest in the "Wall of Wait," I finally got off my butt and rebuilt it into a rider bike. I REALLY like it , and it is a hoot to ride around the neighborhood...
My Current project(s) are all over the house and have spread through three sheds and into my office. My wife is way less than impressed with this and I am in the doghouse bigtime from the last trip to pick up my under reassembly '51 Cycle-Truck as my planning was not so swift for the trip. Long...
The only ones hat are different are the Town & Country Tandem ones and the one for the Mini-Twinn. I made the one on my Mini-Twinn from a couple than I cut down and put back together. This is a neat project you have going! Waiting to see the end result
I used the one on top (Brown one) in the...
Was at Pete's last Thursday - Coolest thing there was Buddy. What an ambitious dog! The bike stuff was cool to, but Buddy made me miss Fred that much more. Oh yeah, and I picked this bike up...Brought From California to Georgia, was previously owned by Sal Palumbo. Pretty nice piece!
What a...
Normally find several on eBay. Not out of the normal to see at least a half a dozen there, and you may get lucky with color unless you're doing something off the wall. Good luck and I'd love to see what you're up too.
