I screwed up when I originally posted this. I marked it sold by mistake as I had a bunch of parts up for consideration.
This is in really nice shape, fully serviced and rolling nicely. Very little pitting.
I have this speedometer and I just found some cables I didn’t know I had. Two questions.
What direction does the gear wheel need to spin so that I can see if speedo is working?
What’s/why the difference in the direction of the bracket. One up, one down?
I have a complete 4 Star Deluxe that I gathered parts for. I got an Elgin gothic guard but have never seen one on a 4 Star, only the skinny one. Does the gothic fit on the 4 Star? If not, I will sell the gothic guard.
Had this for a while. I thought for sure it was a repaint but then saw a thread about a “rare, blue metallic” paint. It for sure has pin striping of the tape kind. But can’t tell if the blue is OG.
Any input would be appreciated!
I've got a three speed, balloon tire bike. Can't seem to find serial number reference chart anywhere. Serial number is A21527. Any help is greatly appreciated.(I know the light and pedals, seat and post are not original)
So every year the Canucks from Vancouver, BC drive down to the Iron Ranch Swap in Ridgefield WA (near Vancouver Washington) and we camp the first night, party, raid incoming dealers then wake up at 6am to catch any new stuff that has arrived. We then pack up, usually stay at Eastside Lodge in...
Recently bought a tricycle to hang in my coffee shop and while cleaning it up noticed that this had slid under the saddle. It's a St Christopher medal (patron saint of travellers) designed to go on the head tube. My mom used to give me a medal to put in my car so keep me safe. Now it's on my '36...
All original Colorflow in excellent shape and will deliver to Iron Ranch swap. The only thing off is that the batwing is rusted out inside due to the typical battery thing but body is solid so a good base to convert to LED. Has two speed kickback hub and horn works well. Paint and chrome is in...
Hey all have a 1951 Black Phantom in somewhat crusty but solid shape. It is all original from grips to pedals save the tires. Horn and front light work and rear light is rusted out due to battery leakage. Body of light is solid thought. Pedals are straight, has locking fork with key. Feel free...
HI all,
Trying to take my Carter carb off for a service. I gotta pedal like crazy to get it going, seems like it doesn't fire until I pedal like crazy, then when I try to give it throttle it dies out. Even when warm, if the idle drops it stalls if i don't keep revving it a bit. Easier to get...
Anyone know how to stop a CCM 37 hub to stop screeching like this when i brake? This is the third hub that screeches. (This is the worst by far).
I clean them, hone the shells with a cylinder honer, clean the shoes, use brake grease.
Thanks for any tips.
Wayne
Hey all,
So I just did a re and re on a CCM 37 hub on the Flyte and just like my other 37 hub, it started to screech after several long rides. And I mean SCREECH!
To dateI have done the following to both hubs to get them to not squeal.

use a wire wheel to...
Not Safe For Bike Weirdos
I'm posting it pic heavy here as the CCM site is onerous for posting pics so I am going to link this to a thread there or the Canadian enthusiasts.
So I picked up this rare CCM Flyte and it is pretty much complete. It cleaned up so well, one of the nicest originals I...

So we had our vintage bike swap this past Sunday in Vancouver, Canada and I got chatting to a vendor and spotted a few lines at the bottom of a hand written sign he had offering and OG Flyte. Called the number on the sign several times and four days later got a call about the bike. Turns out it...
Hi there.... I am looking at bidding on a bicycle in South Amboy NJ and it's local pick up only. I was wondering if anyone near there might be open to helping me get it shipped?
I would obviously compensate you for your effort.
Thanks...

Hi All... I have a Whizzer J motor and wonder if anyone has used either an original clutch on it or retrofitted one with a newer clutch of any kind? Either the new Whizzer clutches or some kind of centrifugal clutch. Just wondering how any of those would have worked out.
Cheers..... Wayne
Well I think I finally have the Flyte about where I want it. The Dunlop rims from the gal's CCm I found look great! The pump is an excellent addition too. I know I'm missing the rear reflector but i can't figure out what would go on there. There is no hole where a bolt on reflector would have...
I have a friend who is interested in a Skylark. I am trying to bring her back to reality and tell just what they do go for. Any info on what the average has been the last while. I did see one posted on here for $3500 in 2014 I think....
thanks.... Wayne
So I've had this Twin Bar for a few years and have gathered up all the parts to put it together. It has been repainted and my question is.... since it has been repainted would you all do a total restore and strip her down, repaint and such?
Thanks for your input....Wayne
hi all... I just got this Jaguar at Iron Ranch in Portland last week. Well not this exact one ( I lent mine to a friend who is on a trip with it. I actually have not got it home yet!)
Both of the bolts on the springer are wrong and I'm wondering which bolts are proper for it? Are they...
Well I finally got the fork and front fender painted and put on. So the Whizzer looks the way i pretty much want. Now just have to finish the Bilite system, teak a few mechanical things and I'm done!
Does anyone know where I can get a quill seat post ( I think that is what it's called) the kind that tightens like the handlebar stem. I will get the seat post dimensions asap
Thanks.... Wayne
Hello all... I have a Hall-Detroit Bilite generator, head light and tail light that I am going to mount on my Whizzer. has anyone ever mounted one of these and would you have any tips on doing so?
Cheers.... Wayne
looking for the panel with the horn and light buttons for 7 tank Spaceliner. I have the tank, light and horn.... it has a panel with only the light but it is a replacement.
Thanks.... Wayne
Hi All.... I just picked up a Delta Hornlight and it is missing the horn. Could anyone show me the inside of one so I could see how the horn is mounted and what kind of horn unit it requires...
Thanks.... Wayne
Also posted in WANTED but thought motor heads might see it here sooner....
I need a Whizzer motor mount that goes on the top part of the motor. Doing an inspection mine is cracked due to the vibrations.
Even just the front half would work as its the only one that is broken.
Cheers...
