Hi, im looking for a youth saddle for my 1941 boys Colson bike with 20" wheels.
Maybe a long spring Troxel, nothing to fancy or expensive please. I don't want to spend a lot because I'm probably not keeping the bike. Here is a picture of the bike and some seat examples.
Thanks, Shawn
Here is a cool little Colson I picked up with 20" wheels. It should clean up nicely. The chrome is flaking, missing the saddle, and guard too otherwise a neat project.
Boys bike, unknown model and year.
Let me know what you think.

Hi, I have a nice set of heavy duty S2 wheels that have two dents on the left side of the rear wheel. I haven't taken the tires off yet, but can they be hammered out with a soft mallet? I would like to keep them and use on another bike. Would they be from a Whizzer?
Thanks, Shawn M.
I traded a newer bike and some cash for this old boy. Its badged BF Goodrich along with the chainguard. Is the chainguard a 1941? It has rear facing dropouts with the serial number on the bottom bracket, the forks look early too.
What i am confused about is the serial number, it reads H53651.
I...
I recently picked up this Schwinn tandem just for fun. It needs to be repainted next summer along with a more thorough clean-up. For now it rides pretty nice though. It can use some new wheels, a badge and maybe some cruiser saddles later. I used SOS pads for the basic rust removal. I think it...
I stopped at my local community bike shop today for some parts and they have a nice display of t.o.c. bikes they just acquired from a local doner. Sorry for the poor pictures, they were the best I could get. I hope you enjoy, they are out of my expertise.
Hi can someone help with the identification of this bike liscense. It came on a mid 50's Schwinn I just got. The bike was used in California.
Made of aluminum.
Thanks, Shawn
Hi, I have had this for awhile now and finally got around to cleaning it up some. Its a pretty cool bike. I still need to clean and service the rear hub, I just didn't have the tools to get it apart. I think from the serial number chart it is a '57 but it looks older to me. The serial number is...
Hi, I did some trading with a good friend of mine last week. I traded a tank for a couple of bikes. I liked the potential of this pre war boys bike, but don't know what it is or what the missing parts might look like. The seat tube doesn't have a collar or a split on the back. Someone put in a...
Nice pair of ladies Torrington pedals. Threads are good, shafts appear to be straight, and blocks are okay too. Pedals spin freely, but can use some oil and a cleaning.
Asking $45 shipped, conus. PayPal preferred.

Hi, I just got this saddle and don't know much about them. It's a complete girls seat with the adjustable seat post, and thread edging intact along with the original rubber cushion. It looks like the chrome is nice under all the grime too. I plan on selling it. I just dont know a value.
Thanks...
I bought this bike for the gooseneck and fenders believe it or not. Sorry the pictures aren't the best. What do you think the year is? It's a pretty cool ride, I just don't need another girls bike.
Thanks, Shawn M.
Hi, I bought these forks from a friend as part of a trade. My intention was to use them on a 50's straight bar project, but I'm unsure of the age. They look like they
are from the 1940's by the dropouts? They are missing the correct pivot bolt and the Springer bolt is incorrect too. I did get...
I finally got this Bianchi Ocelot road worthy today. I bought it last summer at an estate sale for $5. The rear wheel had lots if broken and missing spokes, but I had them replaced and trued at my lbs. The rear wheel is a HÜGI Compact made in Germany and the front is a Specialized. I put new...
Ladies Lobdell Emery saddle with crash rails and hardware. I believe this is for a girls Monark bicycle. Vinyl top is in good shape, no rips or holes. Just a little dirty and unclean. The underside does need to be reglued around some of the edges, but is in great shape overall.
Asking $60...
Hi I just picked this up and a couple non Schwinn bikes. I'm having trouble looking up a year. The serial number is on the bottom bracket. I think it is Z98863, but it is a little hard to tell for sure. Anyway the bike looks kind of cool and has a funny lock on the handlebars. I don't know what...

I picked up this nice 24" Schwinn at an estate sale today. I believe it's a 1952, mostly original with nice S2 wheels and Carslile lighting dart tires. It cleaned up nicely.
Hi, I recently got this Columbia in a trade. I thought I had the correct tank for it in my collection. The bike is a Columbia DeLuxe with many incorrect parts but is a nice rider. The serial number on the rear drop out is gone. I can only barely read 027 on the end. What tank would go on this...
I got this bike from my in law's that belonged to my brother in law. I think it's a 1986 or 1987 Mongoose that was made in Tiawan, serial number is M6-J5936.
I know nothing about bmx bikes, but think this may be pretty original and desirable.
Any help with its value would be appreciated...
Here is a nice family friendly event for this Saturday, May 11th in Albany, Oregon. There are some nice bikes on display and a fun little Swapmeet too. The weather will be perfect to enjoy some bike and beer.
Hi! I'm looking for some men's forks for a 1950 Schwinn. Flat blade forks are fine, I'm just looking for something affordable for my straight bar frame that I recently found.
Thanks for any help, Shawn M.
I just picked this up today but the serial number has me baffled without an alpha prefix. I'm pretty sure it's a dx with many missing and incorrect parts, but I couldn't pass it up. It rides great. It has screws but is missing the oval badge too.
I picked up this Sears Elgin at a swap meet today. The price was right so I had to pick it up. My original thought was to turn it into yard art and sell it, but I may be able to save it. It had a 24" rear wheel and a rusted chain stuck to it, also the forks were stuck at 90°. I was able to free...
Are any fellow Cabe members setting up a booth or attending the annual spring auto swap meet in Portland, Oregon?
It's next weekend April 6th, 7th, and 8th, and is usually a good spot to hunt for old bikes and parts.
The place is huge and can be daunting, however it is a great place to hunt...
Here is my blue Schwinn DX that I picked up at the end of October. The previous owner started a restoration on it but didn't complete it. I believe it was built 04/1952. The wheels have been completely rebuild and the paint was professionally done (uncorectly) and looks nice, however they...
Hi. My wife found this bike today and wanted to know if I was interested. Is it a DX frame? I'm not sure from her pictures, but it is a 26" bike with the chainguard. It's missing fenders, stem and a few other parts that I may have. I think it may be worth the $150 price tag. Any thoughts would...
I'm still looking for a Schwinn long stem gooseneck for my 1950 Cycle Truck and an appropriate rear Schwinn fender. I will be at the Iron Ranch this Saturday if anyone has one available. Please send me a message, I have been unable to find one I can afford. my bike isn't great but I'm missing...
Here is a 1936 Schwinn posted on Craigslist in Portland, OR. Asking price is $3500. I tried unsuccessfully to copy the add, but here is a pic of the bike.
Here is a quick project I just finished for the weekend. It was put together with parts that I had on hand. Ideally I will repaint it if I don't sell it first. For now my 10 year old wants it, and is happy to ride it.
Cheers,
Shawn
I have two Schwinn bikes I want to repaint this summer. Does anyone here make or sell stencils like you find on ebay? Also, are the water transfer decals any good?
Thanks, Shawn
Are the bearing cups on a 24" bike the same size as a 26" bike? I don't have my 24" dx yet but it is in need of the bearing cups and crank assembly. If I had both for comparison I could probably tell, but I don't for now.
Thank's for any help, Shawn
Hi! I just bought a 24" Schwinn DX project and I'm in need of the bottom crank assembly with bearing cups. I thought that I had some in my parts stash but i no longer do. Any help or leads would be appreciated.
Thank you, Shawn

Hi, I just picked this bike up Monday. It was to interesting and local to pass up. The badge says LW Keenan Company's CHAMPION Portland, OR and someone had added a Dana three speed hub. It has 30" wide tiller bars and faded original paint. The serial number is "F96837" and rear facing drop outs...
Schwinn "The World" headbadge as found on head tube with bottom bearing cup. I purchased this from a swap meet several years ago to use but it just sat on my workbench. House paint was covering head tube. $42 shipped CONUS, paypal.
Thanks, Shawn
