I have a 52" highwheel bicycle made by Columbia. It is missing the brake level with mounting bracket. If you have the level with the mounting bracket or without please contact PM me. Thanks again my fellow CABERS! Sped Man
That was someone on the CABE that sold wooden Shelby Speedline or HIawatha Arrow tanks made out of wood. I was wondering if anyone has one for sale. If you do or know where I can get one PM me with details. Sped Man
NIce job putting it together. Are you planning on painting it or leaving as is? This make it how many Alexander Paris bikes you currently own? I own one as you may know and I love it. Bigger wheels are a good idea. I have tall wide tires on mine.
Looks like a prototype Alexander Paris...
I can't believe no one has mentioned our fellow CABE members whose creativity blessed us all with some of the coolest modern accessories of all. Here is a small sample.
My favorite bicycle part was found in the rubbles of Berlin during WWII according to the PO. It is a German all aluminum air pump that mounts to the frame.
Hell I live in Chicago, it is a requirement. If you are a law abiding citizen it must be hidden and you can only carry 15 rounds. IF you violate the law it will cost you everything you have to stay out of jail. If you are a criminal magazine capacity doesn't matter as long as you don't kill...
Does walking it back home count? I rode it about 75-80 miles then had a flat once again. This time I forgot to bring along another inner tube. So guess what I had to do? This is the bad boy that got me walking the last 20 miles late at night. I did get a lot of compliments while cruising through...
As a dad I always wanted a Schwinn Krate. Guess what I gave my three boys???????? My dad was always crazy about Schwinn Phantoms. He couldn't believe his eyes when I brought one home.
Looks like there is nothing good on Ebay, Offer Up, Facebook Market Place, The CABE, or Craigslist. I have been looking for months. What has happened to all the cool bikes? All I see on those sites is bicycles I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. When a decent bike pops up the price is through...
I am looking for a Star high wheel bicycle around the Chicagoland area. If you have one for sale or are thinking of selling your please PM me to let me know.

Nice fine. I picked up one years ago from a fellow CABE member. Love the bike. Mines was pretty much like yours. It needed everything ;) Would I sell it today? Nope. Yours apparently crashed into something that caused the front fork to bend. Easy fix. If you take your time you can turn this bad...
I rode this bad boy around Chicago for a few minutes. Use to own two of them years ago. Sold them while they were still in the box. People were paying crazy prices for them. I found this one on Offer up. He had it for sale for several weeks with no one pulling the trigger. Apparently the PO...
Picked up two of these years ago. Sold them while they were still in the box. Last week I came upon this one. The seller posted horrible blurry photos of it in his man cave. Can you believe the seller drove this 6 miles to my house to show it to me. The photos didn't do it justice.
This is the third one we have purchased. I sold two still in the box a while back. I found this one on Offerup. He had horrible blurry pictures. Can you believe the seller rode this bike 6 miles to my house!
Heck I keep my bad boy in the garage, chained up of course. To get it out you have to move several cars, deactivate the garage alarm, cameras and avoid the hail of bullets :-)
Post this on the Shelby forum. I sold mine there within 2 hours. There are a lot of guys looking to restore their Shelbys. They will kill for original parts!
This one is a work in progress. Got this bad boy last year. Hope to one day have it road worthy. It is a Harley Davidson XLCR. The PO painted it orange. It definitely needs a respray. I am amazed by all the beautiful bikes CABE owners have. We all definitely have good taste.
Unfortunately, for me I haven't acquired anything. Prices are through the roof! Lots of junk available but nothing good either. Hopefully things will change.
For me it was this bike. He wanted a small fortune for it and I saw the possibilities. This got me to buy several books on prewar bicycles. That fueled the fire, before I knew it I had 10 of those bikes pictured in those books and parts everywhere. I was like a drug addict needing his weekly fix...
