Sad news indeed. Ian was enthusiastic about the Northwest vintage bike scene, and even wanted to hook up with us when we went to Arizona for the ride with @Miq and @Schwinn1776 and company. He had to cancel because of health issues but promised he'd see us all at Burley Creek. A true gentleman...

Rain or shine we'll be there. Anyone who has ever set up at a Pacific Northwest swap meet knows that we plan for rain and embrace the sunshine when it happens. (Think Portland Oregon Swap Meet)😂

Thanks Joe, I didn't plan on buying another bike but I've never owned a Schwinn in Apple Green and I've wanted one ever since I saw Frank @cyclonecoaster.com buy one at the Turlock Swap Meet a few years ago. You can place the blame for this on Seth @Schwinn1776 😂

I just completed a 4 state 6000 mile road trip and sold 5 bicycles. I said I wasn't going to buy any more bikes on this trip, but when a fellow CABER offers you a prewar Schwinn in apple green, well....it's hard to say no.

In Eastern Washington where the majority of farming exists, it would be an irrigation pond or reservoir and commonly referred to as a canal. Definitely not a lake. 😂 The outlet at the west end where the water is released would be a spillway.

There was a nice breeze blowing across the canal.
