I have an 1898 Spalding to clean up. A previous owner ground a slot in a pedal cap in an effort to unscrew it off.
I'd like to improve the sppearance somehow but weighing the options. I do not intend a full restoration. The cap appears brass and fairly thin. The bike will be a rider.

Need just one TOC Rambler rear hub nut that was missing from a purchased hub. Photo shows original issue domed nut but I'd be happy with anything that will thread on to the goofy Rambler threads, domed or not. I'll even take a step peg....or buy back one of the two pegs I sold right here on the...
Rambler fixed rear hub lock ring, probably same from '97-'00 +/-. Looks like 28 tpi, left hand threads, two opposing notches, 1.29" id, 1.62" od, .119" wide. If you have one that you are not sure what it belongs to but it measures up, I'll bite.
1 1/2" wide rim for single tube tire x 32 hole. If there happens to be a rear Victor hub attached to it, that's ok. Hole count would not matter with a complete wheel.
I will also consider a 1 1/2" wide, 32 hole, 25" steel tubular rim for 28" single tube tire without a trap door if the rim...
The following excerpt was taken from the 1899 Spalding Bicycle Guide. It warns against rubbing the frame down with an oily rag, risking grave consequences, a practice currently used by many to preserve their frames with minimal disturbance. Could this conclusion possibly be due to the infancy...
Some plating loss with patina, left as is but would tolerate a clean-up. Spin nice and have been packed with white grease as received. Good 1/2-20 LR threads. Rubbers have a few visible small cracks but remain intact and appears to retain some powdering. Cage length 3.5", 4" overall. Caps remove...
13/16" Insertion diameter x 6 1/2" insertion length. 1 1/32" clamp fully relaxed. 1 1/32" clamp width. Appears internal 13 tpi on mating bar thread clamp which have been rolled a bit from mounting conventional unthreaded bars.
Good plating with scuffs on post. Moderate pitting with paint over...

Not my size. Too bad.
Guten tag. There is a frame bag on ebay.de being sold by a seller who will ship to Deutschland only. I've requested rates for shipping to US and have heard only crickets.
I can complete the transaction and insert your third party address, then after receipt, the goods can be forwarded to me. An...
There is a small item on ebay.de that I have been searching a few years for. The seller has not responded to my request to ship to the US.
Are there any CABE members on the other side willing to make the purchase and forward it to me?
All costs will be covered as well as compensation for your...
A rather impressive if not overpriced White TOC offered up on ebay by an antique dealer....

And then this.....
Is this any way to treat a 6k bicycle?
Good plating, mild wear to hub bearing surfaces, moderate wear to cones. The cone photos show the most worn area. Good threads. There is a mild flare on one outboard side of the shoulder from running in a maladjusted condition. I tried to capture this in the photo with the calipers but it's...
Would like to find at least one decent rear axle tensioner set screws for an 1899 Columbia. At least better than what I have. Two would be even better. These may be common to a few years. They are 10-32 thread but the heads have a fairly distinct shape to them. I have modern stainless screws...
Looking to salvage what I believe is a Corbin Model 8 built up to a steel single tube rim.
The following is missing:
#108 Dust Cap
The following are worn, damaged or questionable:
#9 Adjusting Cone
#19 Axle
#47 Transfer Sleeve
Thanks for looking.
I'll go first.

800.00 for a complete badged bicycle....maybe. Sans badge but "All original" except for the "excellent, professional" horrible 60's J.C. Higgins paint with two...
Seeking 1/4" wide block chain. I saw a nice one with some plating intact at the Copake swap but didn't need it at the time and I do not know whose table it was. After Saturday's auction, suddenly I needed one.
I have an og front wheel and only a rear hub for a Victor O 1896 project. I would like to find og spokes to maintain the aged appearance.
Based on best information available at this time these spokes should be in the 310 mm range.
Thanks for looking.
Not sure if such an animal exist at 1 1/2" wide...however anticipating the possibility of never finding a mid 90's Victor steel single tube trap door rim and exploring alternatives. The Victor front rim I have is 1 1/2" wide for single tube and the profile isn't too much different than wood...
Looking for front and rear hubs set for Victor 1896ish with smaller diameter body as pictured. I did find a front, so only need a rear but I'll take both if you force me to.
Loooong shot here but I've seen some cabe miracles before, looking for a lens for a JMN/Josef Müller Nürnberg rear light. Came on a 1952 German Victoria. Not stock to bicycle, but too cool to pass on and then there are those holes in the fender.....
There is a Victor Overman invoice on ebay with a line item #3 described as "450 sterling balls" Anyone know what this would be?

Looking closely AT THE PRODUCT, it is clearly marked "foot" when it looks like anything but. You be the judge. Still, the seller rating is 100% so in the end, I guess everyone is happy.
