computer crashed for awhile but im back now. its all original as far as I can tell. I found one restored that had this exact paint scheme and it was dated 1910, is that possible?
thanks everyone, glad I scored a winner. Yes its very , ridiculously tall... Im 6' and I couldnt imagine trying to ride it. Is the chain sprocket original? the back is set for a skip tooth.. but it seems really old
Hi folks. I found this guy today and even though I dont know squat about antique bikes I knew I had to take him home! Its a Mead Cycle Co. Ranger with wood rims, Im guessing early turn of the century to the teens for an age? Still has the tool pouch and sweetheart bikelock. Set me back about...
Hi folks. I picked up quite a few bikes today but these drew my attention. The red frame is an old Rocket, looks prewar so wanted to double check with you all. Serial number on back left drop out is 57123.
The second one has a wicked looking shield instead of a basic badge behind the springer...

ya I gotta say the fender light was one of the first things to catch my eye after the tank. Its a JC Higgins light as well, not sure if it came stock.. Il remember that about the German bikes having the 3 piece cranks, thanks for the info
oh well, cool on the Higgins, still a cool Shelby... kinda wondered why they wouldve had a badge underneath the duck, gonna have to have a word with that guy.. what year do you think it is? Thanks for the help
Hi ya'll, brought these two home yesterday, thought they were too cool and had to share. I was told the first was a 1957 J C Higgins but not sure what model. It has a 3 piece crank and the tank looks just like my Colorflow. The next I was told was the Shelby Donald Duck. Its missing the plastic...
cool link thanks! so it probably is a '67 or a '68.. I met a fella who had a playboy "88" for sale with the motorcycle-esk suspension on front. He wanted about 300, is that in the realm of reasonable?
bottom bracket has 4462 in big numbers and a 4544u in smaller print, theres also a 3rd set of numbers I think but they were really worn.. can anyone help me out with a year? thanks
A13734
Thanks I appreciate the help. Theres a 52 with a diamond above it and under that its A13734.. Does the top number signify the year in this case? 1952?
i agree now that I look at it, probably just leave the paint but get all the chrome redone once I get the stubborn SOB to turn!! Would love to find the head light and get the horn workin, seems kinda funny calling it a "Colorflow"
thanks, ya it is a DX, I was told those were harder to find(?) kinda figured the headlight was an add on.. Any idea on the year? no serial number under bottom bracket so not sure where to look for it..
Hi folks! made a new friend today and got some killer bikes too! The first is an late 40's early 50's Spitfire, and the second is a sweet little Typhoon I got thrown in on the deal. Everything look correct on the Spitfire? late 40's or early 50's sound right? Not sure if the headlight was...
Hi folks! Found this guy last week and decided he needed to come home with me, thought it would make a good winter project. Im missing the headlight, the chain guard, and the rear rack and reflector so if anyone could help out with those send me a picture and tell me how much ya need. Im giving...
Just wanted to show ya what I pulled out of a barn last week. Paint job needs work from being covered in pigeon feces but other then that shes a sweet little 3 speed. Can someone help me with a model year and does everything look correct? thanks!
thanks I will, though I admit other than tires, grips, and some cleaning I probably wont do much to her. Im still learning about the different brands and in past experience when someone tells ya its a Schwinn and its not, its a bad thing! Glad I got lucky this time. I just knew it was a pre-war...

Hi folks!! Found this guy leaning against a fellas shop earlier today and a couple hours and $250 later I own it. I may have over paid, not sure, but I love the bike. Just needs new tires and shes ready to roll. Wanted to check with you all and make sure the year was correct (serial numbers...
