Serial Number Serial number is C59221. That makes it a 1938, right? It looks like a model D69 Standard Streamline Motobike based on some catalog pics I found. It could be pruchased as a D69TS as well with a tank, chaingaurd and light.

It is a cool looking bike. I'm glad the guy hung onto it. He said he almost tossed it a few times. No, I don't know a Scott Purkis.

Just picked up a old Elgin in real nice conidtion from the original owner. 85 year old gentleman bought it when he was a kid. Been sitting in his garage. He last rode it about 20 years ago.
