The kit comes with a dustcap for those bearings. They are geared high. I plan to order a 24T cog.

pm sent.....it is made to mount to a fender, eliminating the need for the second fender brace. The fender would have one hole drilled in the center. This rack is hawthorne, but later than your bike IMO.

Late 30's Colson for sale. This bike rides well and is complete. The frame and tank are original paint. The rest appears to have been repainted. Lights outer ring has rust through, but the rest of the light looks solid. The bike is just as I purchased it several years back. I am no Colson...

A camelback sounds vaguely familiar....are there two kinds of seat collars, or is this one missing the outer part of the nut?

this one is getting blown up on ebay.....I noticed the top bar has 3 tubes at the connection to the seat tube. It reminds me of Rustjunkies frame, but with a straight downtube. I'm hoping Scott chimes in.

MRG, you have a cool frame there....are those fenders OG? If so, those fenders seem 37/38 or later, being longer on the front. As far as the thread is concerned, I don't care if you call them fastbacks, motobikes deluxe, zeps, etc. Just post 'em.

getting real close....... Need a chain, brake clamp, and a dropstand.....and for the snow to stop.

If it were the crank, wouldn't the chain tighten with every revolution of the crank? It seems to be sync'ed to every revolution of the chain. Could you have a frozen/damaged link on the chain that fails to mesh with the sprocket teeth that is causing this? I hope it's an easy fix, as I hate...
