This may interest some ratrodders and non-purists........

Late 30's Colson for sale. This bike rides well and is complete. The frame and tank are original paint. The rest appears to have been repainted. Lights outer ring has rust through, but the rest of the light looks solid. The bike is just as I purchased it several years back. I am no Colson...
I know I saw these on the cabe, but can't find the thread. Does anyone know the person offering these d-cell discs, insulators, with hole in the center? Thanks for any help. Cheers!
I have resolved to downsize..... Here is a nice condition American. I am told it is a 63, recognized as such due to the fender light. This bike has nice paint and chrome, as seen in the pics. The 2-speed bendix works as it should and the bike rides well. The horn and light are clean and...
this one is getting blown up on ebay.....I noticed the top bar has 3 tubes at the connection to the seat tube. It reminds me of Rustjunkies frame, but with a straight downtube. I'm hoping Scott chimes in.
I purchased this bicycle as a project for my GF from locomotion. He did the best packing job ever on this bike, and the transaction was smooth. If you are interested in any of his bikes, but have concerns about buying a bike from Canada, start a conversation with him. I have no...
The early style, with ducktail front fender, flat braces, shorterin front of fork. The style that came with early fastback "zep" sport motobikes. Paint not important. Thanks for looking.
Has anyone any tips on how to get these to tighten properly on the seat post. First the post moved inside the sleeve, so i took a vise grip and crimped some slight "teeth" into the post. Now, the sleeve is moving within the frame. Driving me crazy, as the seat moves left and right, and I...
My 2016 calendar is lame. The images and bicycles I see from members on the CABE are superior to any bike themed calendars out there. Members could wave copyrights, then vote for a "bike of the month" for the following year. Has this been done before?
Who here has widened the rear end of a bike successfully? I have a couple ND2's I want to use on builds, but all my rear drop outs are too narrow for the hub. Any Advise/Pitfalls/horror stories/success stories? Thanks!
So I just bought 2 pairs of these tires (4 tires) for just under 100$ shipped(86 euro). The strong dollar means a euro=1.11 dollars right now. Went to bike-mailorder dot com, offering a limited selection, but a good deal. Shipping was the same for 2 sets, so I went nuts.
I am looking for a review/opinion on this hub. I have laced SA kickshifts to some bikes with excellent results. My only complaint is if you get stuck in the wrong gear starting/stopping/climbing. This hub supposedly uses centrifical force to shift automatically at 11-12 mph. Apparently there...
Here is a very solid and super straight horizontal louvre tank. The straps are aluminum replacements, but work/look good. No horn .
The light is a solid shell, with no lens, or guts. Ring has a scrape, pictured, but decent shape. I was saving these for a someday project, but need to pass...
Does anyone know what color the pinstripes are on the cobalt blue bike, originally? I know the indian red came with black striping, and I've seen Ronald's blue beauty with the red pins....Black or Red? (image used w/o permission..apologies). Thanks for any help/suggestions.
Cabers- I am a fan of Hiawatha bicycles and see something new to me. Check this auction out....

So I have not paid attention lately, but a couple of ebay auctions are really surprising me. It seems only months ago these 1995 repros were going for south of a $1000 consistently. One of these doesn't even sport perfect paint. Is it true these sold for $3500 back in '95? Did anyone really...
First off, Thanks to the CABE for the great galleries and reference pics available here. Some have museum quality collections here.....BUT, I have noticed there are a lot of big fish on this site that have no gallery on their home page. Are they tired of "wanna sell that", afraid I will rob...

Nice and very straight axel mount drop stand with ears. Galvanized paint. Measures 14" from axel's center to inside point of base. 8 1/2 outside to outside widest point. Measures 4 1/4" at axel, but has flex. The make and origin are unknown. 65$ shipped.
So the 5 bar bikes a repaint, and I am going with a kickback hub, as I pedal in the mountains. Thought about rechrome, then it occurred to me I should offer these for sale for a possible "unrestored" bicycle. The chrome is better than most 1938 wheelsets. There is bubbling, peppering and one...
And the repro persons supremes I've been riding on my DX are failing now as well. I ride my bicycles and have yet to find any repro pedals that are decent riders. They look good, but seem to fail around 100 miles.
First, are there any repro pedals that members would recommend for riding...
I need some knowledge concerning this girl's 4 star/Ms america style tank. I've never seen a battery tray like this. Does this use some special style batteries? The tray is as tall as 2-Dcells, but with one terminal in the center. Any help/pics of a working tank are appreciated. Thanks!
Recent posts have me thinking of OCD bicycle behavior and Jeff Foxworthy. For example, "If you mow your yard and discover a car, you might be a redneck". But I'm thinking, "if you sell your only car to buy your 23rd bicycle, you might have bikitis." Knowing there are some funny guys out...
Help me out here. There is a "monark silver king twin bar" on ebay right now for 1399$
that is listed as original paint. I'm not a pro, but this isn't possible.....Right? Prewar/postwar
combo of parts? check it out...
I have a model D rear hub that spins free about 1/2 a turn every time you stop pedaling, then start again. It's very annoying. I see no difference between this hub and others that work properly. Anyone out there know how I fix this? Thanks!
I figure there are a lot of collectors with tires to match out there. Feel free to piggyback the thread. I hope for a mutually beneficial trade, but am open to offers. Here is what I have.
1. Sears Allstate Premium, blackwall, 26 x 2.125, says nylon with #50600 on sidewall. Good...
I am curious about any info on this bike. It is curious, as it has the two speed option, but the truss/plate were painted and not plated. I have not seen a lot of gothic fenders with the older flat braces either. Is this near the end of production of these frames? 39ish?
The tank and guard...
Does anyone have a good solution for an alternate oil cap for the model D New Departure hub? They are often missing/broken, and I don't want to get another hub just for the cap. Thanks for any ideas/products.
