Finally did buy a couple of 9" baby carriage wheels that will work to replace the radio flyer wheel. Grandsons boys enjoy riding it and have take it to school for show and tell.
Serial number MD33047 (December 68) 26" Schwinn Racer. Red in color. Asking $90. 3-speed. Rides, stops, and shifts.
I'd call it a 4 or 5 out of 10 with scratches, wear, etc. Good Schwinn seat, nice sparkle grips. Fresh tires would certainly help it.
It's 5 miles each way to work for me and...
I've been sending Chuck some pictures of how the axle goes back together on this. Since you own it now I can send them to you!
As for the tire I bought and tried to get a 22 on there which came from the nice folks at Harris Bicycle garage. Thought I was going to destroy the tire getting it on...
I have ordered the tire and tube from the nice folks at Harris Cycle. Anyone know anything about these little bikes? I did find where one sold a couple of years ago on e-bay. Looked nice. I can't find anything about Aurelia Dino Spa. Aurelia is the name on the tire too. It just has about 25% of...
I'm in need of a 22X 1 1/4 tire for a miniature Italian highwheeler. Also a 6 inch solid or pneumatic wheel for the rear.
Here is a picture of the bike.
Thanks, Tim
I just found this miniature Italian highwheeler that I want to do for my Grandson. The rear wheel is solid heavy duty baby carriage type.
I need to find a replacement or at least the rubber. The front is a 22X1 1/4 tube type. Anyone know where to buy one of these?
Here is a pictures. Tim
For sale, one of my two cycle trucks I posted last month as my new bikes. Post war Schwinn, no badge. One shows a 1951 serial number. Hodge podge of parts. One does have a Mesinger seat. Other has a Morrow hub. Both may be ridden and have new tubes and tires. New departure on Schwinn rim on one...
That's exactly what I plan to do with them. We do free dorm delivery. I'm 56 and had to go out with the young kids to prove it could be done.
They didn't like climbing on them.....
Over the summer I will make them look better and try to recruit some riders.
Guess I could post this in the what I rode today topic. But I couldn't resist giving them their own thread.
I recently acquired this pair of Cycle Trucks. They are both a mixed batch of parts and are missing assorted pieces.
But with just a little maintenance and fresh tires and tubes they are...
Thanks Scott,
I knew it was a Hodge Podge of parts. But am happy it found me.
With that big crank ring it will really sail on level ground. I soaked the chain for almost two weeks and it looks pretty good.
But the idea of standing up to pedal up hill makes me nervous....

Looking for thoughts, comments, and feedback on this Huffman Dixie Flyer that I discovered in pieces. I have put the bike back together with the help of a friend as a rider. There is a serial number of 47041C on the bottom bracket. The wheels were unsalvageable so my friend built two new wheels...
