While on the subject of Carriers ,I see a lot of repo carriers been past off as original ,so just a few things to look for, not all the carriers had pallas stamped on them,
The outside frame of the carrier ,the width of the band is 17 mm on the original , and on most copies it is 20 mm...

Hi Lads
First show in a few years over and done, what a Buzz , grabbed a few pics early the first morn still setting up 😅 ,as ever bikes went down a storm ,new panzerschreck bike was most talked about ,new bike transport home after show.
Hi Lads.

🙄 Hi Oliver
Had to post the last lot before i lost it . Few Pointers note the crank ,thats the type you need on the bike, the shape of the wheels 28" and a good indicator of the bike been pre 1943 is the small wheel on the right side of the head tube.
Hi Oliver
Im glad you walked away from that bike ,we have all been there when the passion takes over and blinds us. If its ok with you i will post a few pics of what you need to lookout for ,the troop bikes were all 28" wheeled bikes 56cm frame detachable express handlebars...
Hi Oliver
The carrier is the only part from a truppenfahrrad , the frame looks to be a 26" frame? The only part that could be salvaged is the rear mudguard if its a 28" frame, .not even good for parts just my look on it.
Leo.
Hi Lads
I am looking for a pair of detachable express handlebars either complete or just the handlebars ,and preferably from within the EU, as post and tax is killing everything. Thanks,

Hi All
I don t think the writer is saying that its the reflector that was invented ,more to the use of reflectors on pedals?
from article,///////.
Complicated as it seems – the evidence seems to indicate that Anton Loibl did NOT invent the bicycle reflector – rather he filed for a patent for...
Something I came across while looking for something totally un connected 😲,?.
Fair dues to who ever did invent them ,wish they enforced the law on the illuminating of bicycles the world over as
a lot a P?@,>,@;L are still riding around with nothing.
And its not as if costs alot for a set a...
Hi Adrian

I guess anyone that did take or find anything at the site was not going to broadcast it as it would have been an act of...

Hi Jimbo 53
The bags may be swiss ,but to me the bike looks to be either Swedish or Finnish ,the coat holder brackets on the handlebars look to be Finnish,

I will go out on a limb here and say that someone was using...
Looks like some Gi/s in the bocage -france -44 ,on a track where a horse and cart or a truck was getting outa dodge fast ,

Hi Lads
Iwas just wondering if it would be ok to post over the next few months a few bikes set out as when i do any shows or vintage meets with all the gear attached, equipment ,weapons and of course the bike parts ,as i get asked a lot as to what bike parts set the military bikes apart from...
Hi Lads
Thanks for your Input,
I have removed the black paint which was easy enough, only to reveal why it was on there ,to hide how much green paint was missing:expressionless: ,its back to steel and green paint for now,few pics so ya can see for yourself.
Im thinking of a complete...
Hi Lads
This is the new acquisition ,very good condition ,original green paint under the black, early number ,just need to replace a few bits, front mud guard, saddle ,tyres,O and Repaint or Oil down ?.
Hi Lads
Hope everyone is keeping well and safe , Been taking advantage of the last few weeks to get at the bikes out for oiling and tyre pumping and getting things back in shape. this is the last bike to give a run out for the last few days, my 1939 presto othello .
Hi Lads
Hope you are all well, This is my 1942 swiss army bike been stashed away for the last while and the paint is the worst for wear, I was just going to oil it down and get everything back in order , any thoughts! I also have all the leather bags and helmet holder and tool pouch stashed away ,.
Looks a nice item, perhaps its just for maps and touring items when Travelling around the country like maps, compass, and the like ,that we take for granted these days,
Still a very nice piece,
Wow Serge
Those are real nice, some a the pouchs i was using were made of the same material, but not the truppenfahrrad type, .Those brown straps for bringing bits from the bottom of the pouch, where do they attach too ?
Hi All
Thought i would show you these, some repro pouches i acquired for my truppenfahrrad ,not cheep but well worth what i paid as a real one could set you back two to two fifty plus yoyos if ya can find one. and its real leather.
Hi Bikejunk Ive taken on board what your saying .
The collecting of german militaria is a minefield what with a lot of altering regulation gear to suite purpose in the field ,much the same for any army,
As for pics i wait for the ones to prove something did not exist;).
Pics below one from...
This was the last bike i restored a while back ,it did have a rifle carrying device on it then, but has been promoted to tank killer now.
The brackets for carrying the panzerschreck i had to scratch build as i have not seen any originals, the clasps for closing are german war time items...
