I'm ongoing a hardship with my dog. He's got bone cancer and need to be amputated. I'm in need of money to have the operation done asap so it doesn't spread. No worries I'm not here to beg for money but to beg for ideas to make my bikes sale fast so I can use the money. I did apply for fundings...
I found this bike in the trash. I was going to resale it but once cleaned up and new tires on it it looked too good. I think it will be a keeper. I need to start riding at the skate park now!
I think I might have got my hands on a Perfect frame today. I trying to find information on them but no luck. Do any of you have any information or even pictures so I can compare with what I have?
Here's a picture (no so good) of the frame I have. It's the bottom one that is on bare metal. The...
I'm trying to put apart a 1937 Zenith bike in order to repaint it. Now I can't get the fork to go apart from the stem. I was able to dislodge the wedge and the bolt is out but the stem and forks are still together. I've plugged the hole at the bottom of the fork and filled the cavity with wd40...
I acquired a Shuang Ma motor bike the other day. No idea what year is it. It's a 29cc friction 2 stroke motor. I have the manuals one in chinese and the other in english. It's very detailed.
I gave it a try and it's fun to ride. You get a lot of looks too!
Tell me this bike is not from the 40's and that some parts are not original...

I went to see that tricycle advertised on Kijiji. It came back home with me. It's cute and was well used. I gently cleaned it up with soapy water for now.
It's a Werlich made in Preston Ontario, Canada. I guess it was made in the 50's or 60's? The owner had no idea. He said it might have been...
I've pick this Norco Curb Buster kids scooter the other day. That one is from 1987. Not super old but...
Sorry I've already taken it appart as the fork needs some minor repairs. I plan on making a joring scooter with it which will preserve most of it. I just need a bigger board and a taller...
I have been working a little on my '39 Zenith. I'm slowly moving forward into this project.
Today I've dismantle the saddle to get it ready for its new seat. Fixed the coaster hub. I think I've done it right. Discovered about tire stiching. And found out that the real color of the bike was deep...
I decided to finaly persue in the cleaning of my 1939 Zenith tonight. It about time, it's been a year since I've touched it.
My questions are about my Zenith's hubs. The rear one in particular.
The rear is a Perry. Am I making a mistake or those do not come with the leg. It's a coaster one...
I found this trike in my local classified. I think it looks neat!

And there was also these two from another add. I like the blue one...
I was wondering when did the bicycle company stopped using the 28" to put 26" wheels? What are the years of usage of the 28" and the 26" baloons before they went skinnier?
I'm trying to put a "date" on some bikes I have and I thought the tires would give me a good start.
Thanks for the info.
I've never stopped collecting bikes.
Here's a few of those I brought home. Most of the other ones being 10 speeds.
This one is a Raleigh 6 speeds on 26" tires. Good overall shape but the chain is badly stuck in the rear derailleur.
This a Lady Bird. I believe the wheels are 20". Missing...
Found this kid bike on the local ads. It as solid tires. The owner doesn't know about year or brand of this bike. I'd like to ad it to my collection but not sure if its worth it price. It sure looks nice to me tho.

I have more than one bike I would like to use the stem or the forks but they are jammed together. Is there a trick to get one of the other without breaking anything?
I found these two along with other parts bike at my "fishing spot" today. Are they worth any interest?
This is the sprinter. I've found a serial and something that says made in Canada. It came with some Christmas bows!
And a tricycle with no iddentification
The broken...
I found this bike in a picture of a pile of bikes for sale. I contacted the seller for more pictures of the road king which he did send me. I was wondering if this is something I should spend some time on "fixing" it.
I have that old Hercules woman with rod brakes. The front wheel is always going flat. I've got the tube out and it's an old patch that dried out. I was looking for the best way to remove that old thick rubber patch without wrecking the tube. No luck. I bet that putting another patch on top is...
I never really paid attention on my bikes seats until I showed my antique bikes to a friend who asked me where I got those seats with the holes in them as they seems like they are newer than the bikes. I told him they are originals. He said that he couldn't believe they were already making those...
I bought this bike 2 days ago without even really looking at it. I guess I was a little too exited as it would be the pair for my men one. I like it but it seems like the chain guard might be wrong for this bike and while cleaning it I found a lug that was rewelded. It came with no wheels so I've...
I found this lady today and couldn't let her behind even tho she is not complete. I made a quick research and can't find anything about this bike.
Serial is 2357463. Seems like its a Stormey Archer 3 speed in hub with drum rear brake. I have no idea about the front wheel as its missing. Wheels...
I got all excited at the idea of putting my first bicycle apart and making it better. I'm working on a 1965 (approx) Leader Vagabon foldable that I bought for 20$ in 2009. The bike had seen better days but was still in rideable condition. I started wanting to upgrade it and make a fun ride as...
I don't know if my bike is old enough to be talked about so I'm trying. I believe the thing to be a Auto-Mini from 1965 or so but that's just my guess since it got repainted and there's no trace of brand on it. I would like to "pimp" it a little bit. I now have to decide of the color to paint...
I recently started collecting head badges from a variety of bike (older and newer). Unlike the car stuff those are rounded and harder to display. Anyone as an idea?
I started to check all the parts on my 50's CCM bike I got a week ago. Since there was a nick on one tire I wanted to take it off to put another one on. Surprise! The tire is "glued" to the rim/rim tape. Anyone as some ticks to share with a newbie in that domain?
Thanks in advance
I had just started putting "official" dates on my CCM's but my old Humber lady still don't have a date. Anyone has a serial list for that type of bicycle?
The Serial I have is AX84816.
I remember seeing a list with serial for ccm at some point (unless I'm wrong) but I can't locate it. I'm trying to put a date on a CCM most likely from the late 50's. Serial is 588(or 9)51.
Thanks for all replies. :)
There's a bike for sale that I really like. The add doesn't mention any serial or identification. I've got a few pictures. I would like to know if someone know how much its worth and an approximate date. I would say its from the early 50's but I'm not an expert. Thanks for your help.
I'm curious on how many bikes do you have?
I'll start
I have about 20 in my "vintage collection" which are mainly cruisers from the 60's.
My overall amount is between 70 and 100. I haven't count them in a while.
This picture will give you an idea.
I've got this bike today. Fresh out of the junk. Its the first time I get a bike with a speedometer. It's not currently hooked and I have no idea how to go about it. See pictures.
Bike
Speedometer.
I was wondering if there was a way to know what to put for price on bikes. I often gets package deals of bicycles which I don't always want to keep as personal collection items but I never know what to put for a price. I was thinking about a a chart like the black book for cars.
This year its been already busy at getting new collection items. I have had lots of luck so far. Last week I got my hands on 3 bikes from the 60's (my guess). I got 2 woman and a man cruiser. One is a Typhoon (Baycrest) woman coaster, the other woman is another Baycrest 5 speed with derailleur...
I have a 1939 Zenith men bicycle. The saddle is just bare metal. I have no idea where to go to have it recovered. Its also missing the truss bars. Where do I go for that? Also I'm looking for rims for that bike. I will keep it the way it is for now but I would like to be able to ride it.
I did...
I recently found a nice looking Black Hawk women on 24" wheels. The license stickers on it makes me think it is a 1965 as the latest ones were from 1969. I would like to know if someone knows anything about Black Hawks bikes. I can't seem to find any information on the web. I can have some...
I did my recycling today and I found a Humber on the wrecked bike rack. It seems to be in very good condition. All parts are original except the tires and the stand I would say. The basket seems like it got put there a little later than the year of the bike. My guess is that its from the 40's...
I don't know where to post this... maybe the bike is not old enough. I found this foldable bike in the web adds. Just liked it so I went and get it. No infos on it either. I think the bars are not originals as well as the saddle. Anyone knows anything?
A while ago I got this little kid bike from what I call a bike cemetery. I liked the way it look and even the custom pain job and pinstripes on it. The coaster brake still work and all. I didn't bother to try and get more infos on it as I was busy fixing the other guys to sell. The little guy...
I finaly had a little bit of time to put on the Zenith. I didn't do much but I manage to put appart the front wheel to check the state of the parts to see if I have to change the rim or if just a relacing would be fine. Thought you guys might be interested in what I've found. Note to say that...
