This bike was a wall hanger in a shed for many years. Tires & tubes, fenders and a few accessories added by me. Still need to change the handlebars, lots of rust under the gold paint. Great swap meet cruiser.
Some folks think this is a vintage bike, actually a Dyna I traded for in 2013. Started adding accessories to it after my first trip to Memory Lane and Ann Arbor. Lot of fun to ride and let folks have their picture taken on.
Pulled these out of a shed last week. Jeunet, Chiorda, Phillips, Dawes, Fuji and Schwinn to name a few. More projects, parts and pieces for the shop....
Repaired this for a friend. He plans to use it as advertising. Note the pic of the rear brake. No idea where it came from. I rode it once, no plans to do so again!
NOS Cables for Muscle Bike Shifter, front and rear....White Cable Housing....Around 100 of each....Still amazes me what is out there waiting to be found....
I collect model cars, built and unbuilt from the 50's 60's. Would be glad to do some trading on bicycle stuff at Memory Lane. Bringing another trailer load of old bikes, motor scooters, mini bikes and bicycle parts.....
Picked up this 24" Boys bike in a deal. Wrong seat, aftermarket rear rack? Serial No. A88495. Has skip tooth crank and rear sprocket, rear drop out with adjusters. Need help on year on manufacture....
Good Memories....
Tim and I made our first Memory Lane show in 2013. Had no idea what to expect but needless to say we were overwhelmed. Larry took the time to go thru our stuff and pick out some items to trade for store stock. Helped us figure out how to get to Ann Arbor and a motel to stay...
Motor and tranny were pulled from a running car and stored indoors for a future project by previous owner. One head was pulled, and replaced, to check for wear. I purchased the combo to put in a Desoto rat rod project that never happened. Would consider trade on bicycles, scooters or cash...

Hobby Shop Paints....
Check out the rattle cans modelers and radio control builders use. Fingernail polish is another option. Many of the show winning models I've seen are sprayed with it. An airbrush will allow you to use it or the small bottles mentioned. Many of the custom paints and...
Taking A Ride....
Plan to make the trip from Alabama with a trunk load of nos muscle bike shifters and assorted parts. The thursday nite car campout sounds like the old days! In need of a chainguard for my X53 if anyone has an extra. Hope to meet a bunch of the CABE folks and put faces with...
Firestone/Colson
The headbadge reads Firestone. Will post more pics and the s/n in the next couple of days. Today I picked up an X53 girls bike missing the tank, headlite and correct seat. Thanks for all info regarding the Lady....
A friend found this for me at a local auction. A good cleaning - spoke replacement on both wheels - nice set of whitewalls - and the Lady should be cruisin once more....
Just got a call regarding a Monark Silver King that was pulled out of a chicken shed. No pics yet, hopefully next later this week. Caller gave me the following info: Model #640A - Serial #A1542806. Any help on year of mfg appreciated....Paul....
SwapMeet Finds....
Found the following bikes at a weekend automotive swapmeet. The Schwinn Speedster, S/N JC11297 - Sept. 1967, is missing the carb for the motor. The Schwinn 24" Boys, S/N H375712 - Aug. 28, 1963, has a rattle can paint job. They came as a pair on trade. The other bikes...
Would like to know what company made it and the bike it fits. Picked it up at a swapmeet recently. Very solid with only a few spots to repair. Thanks for any info....Paul....
Thanks For The Info....
Thanks for the info. Been soaking the fasteners and seat post with PB Blaster. Considering blasting the frame, just hope it survives! Pulled the tank and it was very rusty inside, horn assy not servicable. Have located a set of fenders and skirt guards. Not a show...
A freind (?) dug this out of a scrapyard and gave it to me. J C Higgins, crank housing marked MOST MODEL 502 19225. Any help on year of mfg? Plan to clean it up a bit and use as a rat rod project. Looks like some one tried to make a stationary bike with the homemade rear stand. Wish me...
No Luck....
Cleaned the crank housing looking for the numbers as you suggested. Nothing else stamped or engraved. Thanks for taking the time to help....Paul....
Recently replaced/repaired the shifter chain for the owner. Was a delivery bike for a local drug store in the past. Local kids used to take turns sitting on the bike when it was parked outside in the rack. While one kid took the "pretend" ride the others kept watch for the store owner. The...
Found several of these brackets/braces in the old bike shop, all for the same side apparently. Anyone know what it fits? The seat is a Mesinger Twin Torque that I've not seen before. Keep the kickstand up and enjoy the ride....Paul....

All About The Ride....
From 1961 to 1967 we lived way out in the sticks as the saying goes. Closest friend my age was 5-1/2 miles away. Done a lot of walking till 1963 when I finally got a used 20" girls bicycle. Painted it garden green, pulled the fenders off and made a set of custom...

Handling the move is really more than I expected. Always something new each day. Hope to finish up this month, then spend the rest of the year sorting everything out! Lot of work, but also a lot of fun.:p
