I just picked up this '49 S-10 but it's missing a couple of things. I need to find the crankshaft and piston for this J motor, are the crankshaft assemblies interchangeable? Should up grade to a larger piston while I am at it? Thanks

Its not a NE5 frame because it does not have the mounting bracket for the starter switch, or CDI mount or tabs for the gas tank.

That seat post is not 13/16 :D

they probably made three and decided they were spending more in materials and time than what its worth... I guess now I can say " its one of three known to exist"

I'll take some more photos tonight. I still think is strange to have the head tube screw spacing, fork lock bumper ,13/16 seat tube and same seat stay bends as a Schwinn .... And not be a Schwinn . Seems like way too much work to build a cantilever frame from scratch just to add a motor. I would...

If it was brazed I would swear it's a b6 frame....

My understanding is they they will can be offered both ways. They also mentioned they could drill for smaller spark plugs if needed.

Does anyone have any extra set of frame engine brackets for a Whizzer? I need top/bottom with rubbers and a lower engine bracket. Rusty and used is what I am looking for. Thanks!

To further muddy the water, the front was a different drop center Schwinn.

The curved tube spacing is more narrow closer to the seat tube than the head tube.

Also the headbadge screw spacing will work with a prewar Schwinn badge and the as & co crank was dated 26

Which is it ? I am not sure , thinking it is a late 30's. Serial number looks to be G9 but then there is the EAC/FAC? Thanks!
