I picked up this "prewar" Schwinn girls bike as parts for my 37 C model. but upon pulling it apart, I discovered some interesting features. Riveted "Auto Cycle" badge, K prefix serial, 43 dated crank, Musselman rear hub dated 4th quarter of 46 with a blackout Morrow brake arm. Is this some...
I bought a Schwinn DX with these original paint airflow fenders yesterday. I just pulled them off the DX and then saw the Elgin curved bar frame and had an idea. I think it looks really good but I don't want to wreck these fenders.
Picked this gem for $10 at an estate sale. Serial indicates a 49. Thought it would be a good parts bike, but, might as well build it. These "customized" bikes tell a story. We'll see how it turns out. Seat and handlebar stems are stuck.
I finally found a correct fender brace for a Higgins of mine. Spray bombed yellow and missing part of it. After some jenky sheet metal fab tig welding, I got a good candidate to try a new technique.
1: Clean part well
2: Dab grease where you want bare metal/ rust with rag, cotton swab, paint...
I stumbled across this. I was cringing at the evaluations lol. https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vintage-bicycles-whats-worth-appraisals-inquiries/684726-found-bluebird-barn-what-worth.html
I just was test riding my Motorized bike, I was going full throttle probably 35-40ish mph, when the fork gave out. What happened was, the carriage bolts that hold the yolk to the fork legs weren't tight. Nuts rattled off, bolts rattled out, and then I layed it down on the left side. Honestly I...
I'm just riding and minding my own business going about 20 mph when all the sudden I'm going ZERO. Speedo cable broke. Can I weld it back together? Has anyone ever fixed their cable? Any recommendations ?
I was at the local harvest festival, I'm looking for bikes but all I see is either overpriced or garbage. Most of the time both. Then the sky splits, angels begin to sing, and a spotlight from heaven shines down on this 35 Hawthorne. Bought right away. Price was right. Original paint is green...
This was in the shed of a car guy. Stunning condition. Missing the original sliding rail. Bad pic, but in person it's beautiful. I think it's a late 46 B-507 Autocycle with the springer and drum brake options.
I have these Dayton aluminum fenders. I spent a little bit of time straightening them. A lot better. Next is the English wheel... When I get one. Also the aluminium delta front loader goes perfect. I'll weld the back back fender to the back fender eventually. Lets see your vintage Aluminium-inum...
I have the opportunity to purchase this fine piece of american made machinery. It is pretty nice. Missing grips. No chain guard decal. $250 and I take it home. Would you guys pounce for that? I like it but, what's Midwest street value? @the tinker ? This was the best place to get a picture.

When you get a "new" bike and the cool old tires are shot, What do you do with your old tires? Mine are all in a pile in my yard. I just can't get myself to toss em.
This is a 1938-39 Shelby built Hiawatha. It has the wish bone frame and shock ease fork. The bike was stored in a grainery for a long time until it was pulled out a few weeks ago. No tires. The original paint is green on green and peeking out in places. I would like to get $310 shipped from WI.
I was browsing CL and stumbled upon this. It's all original besides the rear fender. Badged as a Hiawatha. Green paint peeking through in places. Not my type of bike. What's strange is, all I ever find locally is schwinns and Higgins.
I got this bike last year from a fellow caber. I am going do do a traditional HotRod look. I have a Carlisle jet flyte slick on the back and a middleweight Goodyear on the front. Not sure what to do for bars or seat. Plan is to paint the rims red and leave the frame and have a black CWC rack...
Special thanks to @Hawthornecrazy for tipping me off. The lady had it as yard art and said it wasn't for sale. BUT after some convincing, I got her to let go of it. These bikes were built from 1955-1957. This one is a 56'. It also has a Bendix Multi-Speed Power-Brake. It should clean up.
I got this with alit of other bikes. It was repaired previously on the bb and near the headset. I just "fixed it". Not my best work, but it's not going to get restored, Probably be a beater bike. This is the only thing schwinn lightweights are good for. ( Start from last pic)
So I was diggin through my parts pile and found this. I remember getting it, but not sure what it's from. My guess is prewar. Kinda like a Miller and a Schwinn postwar stand had a baby. Sooooooo, who can tell me?
Today I was at the junkyard and picked up this "rocket". Only because of the Bendix hand lever 2-speed coaster brake. After that, I bought this from a buddy of mine. It is a 1970 5-speed fastback. The original paint is yellow, but it was repainted by a kid on the Indian reservation. I think the...

I know there are some smart people on here so, What can you tell me about this badge. Came on my 57 corvette. And kinda want to swap badges between the vette and my 65 Panther. Would this be "correct"?
I did some trading on Craigslist and ended up with this. My question is, Is the headlight the original light? It has the black plastic switch on top and it takes 2 D cells. The fork looks like a postwar Schwinn 26" ballooner fork, but it has holes for the axles instead of slots. What's it from?
This is a working Bendix 36h kickback 2-speed triple red band. Overall really nice. Works without issue. From a 1966 schwinn. $75 Shipped in the lower 48. Pm me. Thanks.
That is the question. This bike is on Craigslist with a 60s Schwinn and 50s straight bar tha askin price for all three is 525. The bike is a gold eagle. NOTICE:the neck has a lock. Should I buy them. If I did is any one interested in that frame???
I bought a late 40s Schwinn dx with an el cheapo motor and wanted something with more torque. Starting from scratch with a different bike. You know what they say, if you want something done right do it yourself. This is it.
one of my buddies offered me $200 for this. From what I understand this paint scheme is a very rare one. So here's the big question, What would be your top dollar or proposed value? I think it's a 49-51.
Welcome to the ___,000th edition of CRAIGSLIST STEALS. Got these two bikes today from an old couple on Craigslist. The story is they met on these bikes. Both 62's with working red band 2-speeds! Now I know that you guys give people s#!+ for calling bike barn finds, but I live in the middle of...
I would like to build a motorized bicycle with a Briggs or Tecumseh. Kind of like this but keep the pedals functional, coaster brake belt drive, and able to carry more than its own weight unlike the cheapo motor kits. I think the motor will fit ok. Any suggestions?
I may be able to buy this corvette. It is an hour and a half to two hours from me. The guy is asking $200. It apears to be missing the front rack and rear reflector. Is it worth the money and drive? It'll cost about $35 in gas. Should I pull the trigger?

I am selling this monark 5bar women's bike previous owner said the top bar is factory ( doubt it) has headbadge, built in drop stand ears, seat and post, axle adjustment screws and all bearing cups. I put some tape on that top bar so it wouldn't flop around.
