I think you're right Goldenindian I think it might be a 1918 Excelsior with some changed out parts

I was thinking the same thing but I don't see any other holes and I know the crank is a Shelby, but could have been changed out in the past easily enough I guess.

Cleaning this one up for a co worker it was his great aunts. Paint was quite oxidized bike looked brown before, wet sanded with 800 grit and then rubbing compound I think it turned out great with a cool patina. Had to remove a couple of peeling stickers off the front fender. I don't think this...

Picked it up today, should clean up really well. I plan on riding this one quite a bit.

Sorry no pics, but I'm looking at a triumph looks all original with a sturmey hub dated 1966, I don't know much about them seller is asking 95$, hoping someone can educate me a little more on triumphs and if they are worth anything.

Is a 73 Schwinn suburban bearing cup pressed in?

I've rebuilt quite a few bikes but never had to remove a BB bearing cup before. Are there any tricks to getting the cups out? I tried searching on here and couldn't find anything I assume just knock them out from the inside but I don't want to damage them either. Thanks in advance.

I only paid 55 dollars for the bike, I have several all original middleweights that are in much better condition than this one. The only reason I bought this is to build a klunker out of it and I was only interested in the frame. I figured for that price I could sell all of the parts to recoup...
