I called my local bike shop to checking shipping options. He quoted me $100 to box the bike up and get it ready for Bikeflite to pickup. He estimated between $50 TO $75 to ship. If that is something that someone would be interested in, please contact me.
Also I would be happy to take any close...
Sold to fellow CABE member Bump lowered the price $50
2nd price lowering of $50 now $850
I decided to sell my Sam Sco bike. I know very little about bikes. I purchased it from a Cabe member about three years ago, stored it in my garage and only rode it a couple times around the block. Below...
Not sure if this is the best place for a discussion on the classifieds section
Sometimes I think it would be nice if the classified section was divided into “Complete and ride able bikes” and “Project and or Parts”. Has this ever came up in the past and what was the general consensus? My guess...
When I was a kid my friends and I liked to jump our stingrays off of ramps we built. I’m sure one of my friends bent his forks that way but I don’t remember exactly what he did. I just saw the end result when he asked my father to help fix it before his parents found out.
I did bend a crank...
To me, you can put most of the classic bicycles that are for sale into three different categories, but the same is likely true of many other collectable items
First are the overpriced ones (around 95% of all listings I see). The seller may just be a dreamer, or simply may not be all that...
Well you got me there, I have no idea what the correct answer is. Let me just say that if I were asking $2,800 for a bike I would use at least ten pictures & nice ones at that.
I have not seen this bike in person so my comments are only based on the few pictures in the ad. I think it’s a nice looking bike and I’m certainly not an expert or even close to one, but $999 seems way too high to me.
It was really just a general observation but here are a couple that I have seen for several months.

Is it just my area near San Francisco?
I notice I keep seeing the same overpriced vintage bikes on Craigslist for several months. The sellers just keep re-posting them and never drops the price. Some, I have seen for more than six months. I guess part of the reason is it doesn’t cost anything...
I saw this and was trying to get a picture of the badge and SN from the seller.
What are your thoughts?

When a bike is referred to as a 24" are you speaking about the size of the tires or a measurement of the frame? If it's the frame, where would you measure from? I'm guessing the seat tube.
Thanks
These are also near me. More then I would want to spend. How correct are they based on the pictures?
