I am wondering what all parts I’m missing? Anybody got a good photo of a complete or restored bike. I’m guessing this is a prewar bike from the rear dropouts. Haven’t done much research yet. Just pulled it out and gave it a shot with the water hose.
Yes they do. I have 6 more not pictured in the
I'll check the numbers and get back with you. The red on mine popped when I hit it with some wax cleaner.
Finished up this 1955 Schwinn Corvette today to add to the rest of my collection. Looking for some orange fenders for the 1977 Sears Free Spirit Mx bike along with handle bar racing plate.
yes it works. It has 8 songs on that one roller. Don't know if you could change it or not. I'm guessing it's from the 1890's either French or Swiss. Needs a good cleaning and oiling. Don't know the value but I have seen several go for a couple of thousand. I just bought it because like they say...
Finds of the week. Before and after on the Green Midget Stingray. Anyone have a good picture of the correct pedals that go on this bike? Are they standard size or smaller? Also Leslie speaker from Hammond organ. cool 1890's French music box. The Juke Box of it's day.
This Schwinn Red Corvette rolled into my office this morning. Co-worker said it belonged to his uncle who was a B-17 pilot in WW2. I'm guessing that it is from 1955??? Any help. I know the seat is not original. Anything else any of you see that doesn't look right or missing? I'm planning on...
This is another bike I picked up at an estate sale along with the Hawthorn I just finished. This one looks like it was never rode. Someone had put a banana seat on it and some high rise handle bars. I replaced them and waxed and cleaned it up. This is a cool bike if I just had a green 68 Camaro...

Saw this photo on my local historical website the other day and thought it was cool and decided to share it here. Bicycles modified for use on checking the track on the railroad from Mendota Va.
Looking for Parts to complete my first bike. I must have destroyed them or lost them sometime in the past. Looking for the orange plastic fenders and the front race plate that goes on the handle bars for this 1977 Sears MX bike. Thanks for any help.
Finally finished this project on to the next one. Next one will be a 1968 Sears 10 speed muscle bike. Maybe someday I will find a tank for this one. It's a nice survivor.
Thanks for the information. I can't wait to get this restored and start riding it again this spring. We have a social ride every moth in my town we call the taco trek and I try to ride a different bike each month. I have an all chrome spider also and a 1976 Sears Free Spirit MX bike. I'm trying...
I'm guessing it's from 1969. Haven't had time to do much research yet. I'm going to try and find out what all is missing besides the seat support. Don't know if the front tire is original or not? Did this bike come with red lines? It has red line pedals. I was surprised it was mostly complete...
Anyone know the bicycle manufacture?
Bicycle looks to be brand new. Anyone know the manufacture and age?? I'm guessing 1900. Post Card is from East Tennessee South West Virginia Area.
Recently purchased a bike (project) at an estate sale that's been in a box for a long time in and attic. Trying to figure out maker. It's surprisingly all there except the head badge and the key for the fork lock. I'm guessing Schwinn, but don't know for sure. Also guessing pre war. Any help...
Purchased these three bike frames and various parts at flea Market from a guy who was going to junk these. Need some help figuring out what I got and what it looked like so I can restore them. One has a badge that says Pilot and AMF on frame with a serial # on rear wheel stay. R491110. The...
