    Repair Stands

The materials I use are made by a company called 8020. The extrusions, corners, and fasteners are all available on eBay. They are not cheap; I have repurposed most of the material from other projects.

    Home bike stands

With a bicycle wall mount that I found on eBay, I repurposed some extruded aluminum sticks to make these stands. I made the black one first, but it was soon "borrowed" by a buddy restoring a Peugeot 10-speed. I made the silver one to replace it. I am going to add a strong cup magnet to the...

    Repair Stands

I built my own stand using a $25 eBay wall mount and T-slot framing I had lying around. Height can be adjusted by loosening two screws in vertical T-slot. The interface can be rotated 90 degrees to hold the bike by the seat tube instead of top tube. It is lightweight and can be quickly broken...

    Desimone’s or Eldi repair stand

Not vintage, but functional. I picked up a wall mount on eBay for about $25, made a simple interface to mate it to T-slot aluminum, repurposed some 1-1/2" T-slot aluminum I had lying around. Height can be adjusted by loosening 2 screws in the vertical T-slot. Interface can be rotated 90...

    Banana Seat Restoration

The vinyl doesn't seem real dry, but it makes a hard 180-degree fold over the underside of the pan. I am not sure if the vinyl would survive the disassembly/reassembly process. I agree that patches on the outside would not be good. I might reinforce some of the cuts by covering them with some...

Finding Parts for 1968 Triumph Muscle Bike

Thanks Wheeler. I purchased tires for a good price from monsterscooterparts.com. I think I need a new front axle; the threads appear to be flattened. I will pull it out to get a better look. I found a shifter cover that I think is correct; lacking a catalog photo or any photo, I don't know...

    Banana Seat Restoration

The banana seat on my Triumph (Raleigh) muscle bike is in need of repair. I believe it was made by Brooks; I have seen seats like it with the BROOKS label on the back; this seat is not marked. What can I do to improve it's condition? Most of the sparkly vinyl fabric is in good condition...

Finding Parts for 1968 Triumph Muscle Bike

Hoping for some parts input or help with Triumph muscle bike information. So far, the only photos of one on the internet are photos of my bike, which seems surprising.

Walmart Stingrays are back.. $125 free ship

I am beginning the restoration of a 1968 Triumph muscle bike (similar to a Raleigh Rodeo). I was thinking of picking up one of these Walmart Stingrays and stripping it for parts. I need two tires, two inner tubes, front wheel, two pedals, chain, rear support bar for seat. I might be money...

Finding Parts for 1968 Triumph Muscle Bike

I have made a couple posts seeking information on this bike, and now I am interested in replacing some failed parts, including pedals, chain, tires, and front axle. I seeking recommendations on sources for parts. Looking on Amazon, it is hard to judge if pedals will fit; there is so little...

Triumph Muscle Bike - Seeking Information

The head badge is metal. The SA Hub is marked "THREE SPEED HUB 68 9". It seems that would indicate September 1968.

Triumph Muscle Bike - Seeking Information

This bike cannot be so rare that nobody on this forum has knowledge of it. Anyone? Bueller, Bueller?

Triumph Muscle Bike - Seeking Information

I want to return this Triumph muscle bike to road worthiness, but have been unable to find any information about it. It bears no model name, but is very similar to the Rodeo and Fireball bikes manufactured by Raleigh. Raleigh built and sold Triumph bicycles at this time. It features a Sturmey...

    Triumph Muscle Bike

The search for information on this Triumph muscle bike is made harder by lack of a model name. Seems like it would be on the chain guard or frame, but nothing.

    Bike Stand

Thanks I will look for it, and check out what others have done. I was tired of working without a stand.

    Bike Stand

I needed a bike stand for working on my recently acquired and impossible to identify Triumph muscle bike. I found a clamp arm on eBay and mated it to some aluminum T-slot extrusions I had remaining from other projects. Height is easily adjustable using T-slot and the clamp can be rotated 90 degrees.

    Triumph Muscle Bike

Could my Triumph muscle bike the sole survivor on the planet? No literature, no photos, none for sale, none not-for-sale. This seems weird and unexpected.

    Triumph Muscle Bike

Thanks for the photos and video showing the Raleigh Fireball. I was not aware of this model. The SA shifter on my bike looks like the 3 speed shifter and knob on the 3+2 shifter, but has only a 3 speed hub.

    Triumph Muscle Bike

Today, I made a 2 minute video clip showing the bike and posted it on Youtube. If you search Triumph Muscle Bicycle, you will see the bike and hear a brief description. I am hoping to get information that I can use for restoration. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

    Triumph Muscle Bike

Here is a photo of the whole bike. Has anyone seen one like it? Typically everything can be found on the internet, but I cannot find any information about this bike. The number 8872 is stamped on the bottom of the bottom bracket. There is no model name on the bike, though it may have been...

    Triumph Muscle Bike

Last night, I purchased a Triumph muscle bike. I have not been able to locate any information or images of one. It appears to have a 3-speed Sturmey Archer hub, which I haven't previously seen shifted by a stick shift. I was hoping to find some reference information or images that could help...

    Hiawatha Bicycle Identification Help

I got this Hiawatha (Made by Huffman for Gambles) bicycle from the wife of the original owner. At first, I thought it was a Hawthorne. He used it for newspaper delivery in Minneapolis in the 1940s. It has been hanging from a garage ceiling for about 40 years (the age of the garage). I...
