    its a 1961-1964 Flightliner, sold at SEARS stores, built by Murray. price is around $100 in that condition. i had one and i couldn't get rid of it for $100 and it still had paint on the tank. Traded mine for a 1939 Schwinn ACE girls bike to another local collector.

    Schwinn Serial Number Reference

    I just picked up a Schwinn ACE and the serial number is B76994. What year is it? what did it look like originally? The bike has had the cranks and chainguard and seat replaced. The bike has a springer with a 7 inch long steer tube.

    I buy a lot from him too, that's where I got my 1951 Columbia 5 Star. I also sell him a lot. I don't know if he had the clear coated Hawthorne by the door still but that was my bike that I bought at Memory Lane Classics. I traded him that one for my 1941 Hawthorne.

    Cwc Questions

    The red one is a 1940 or 1941 CWC built. I have a 1941 mens CWC built Hawthorne with an "H" serial number. The blue one looks to be post 1955ish because it is not a skiptooth. However there is a possibility that the blue one was converted to standard sometime post 1955.

    Help With A Bendix ?

    Turn the sprocket to full engaged then tighten the outside bearing just snug but so it can disengage. if that doesn't work then its something mote internal. I've had that same problem and that's how I solved it.

    Those are original pedals not repro. they came on deluxe bikes like Schwinn Phantoms and Columbia 5 Star Superb style bikes, high end bikes. My 1951 Columbia 5 Star has Torrington's but I'm sure they may have come with Persons at one time.

    In Michigan the value of that bike I'd say is about 400 max. if you're keeping it as a rider then id say that 35 is a good buy, if you plan to flip it then probably try to get it for 250 or 300.
