If those grips are too hard to find, what is my next best option? The “tear drop” style?
Also do you know if the ends of the handlebars are supposed to have metal caps and then the grips slid over or just grips by themselves? Thanks.

Hello Schwinn family, this is my 1961 (I believe) Tornado. Love the twin straight bar design.
I want to know what the correct style handlebar grip for this bike is as it has none.
Also are these the original pedals? They look vintage to me, but I unfortunately busted this one a few days ago...
Im in the process of rebuilding a black New Departure Model D rear coaster brake hub and I'm trying to remove the rear cog without damaging the paint or any parts. Is there a certain process or method to removing it? Also is it normal or reverse thread? Thanks, Joe.

You are definitely correct, there is no substitute for quality. I appreciate craftsmanship and that's what geared me towards Schwinn bicycles rather than your average Wallmart bike built overseas. As far as the collecting disease goes, I think I may already be infected. I recently picked up a...
A friend of mine bought this bike sight unseen off of EBay and isn't sure if the bike is a 24 or 26 inch frame. I'm not experienced enough to determine one from the other by looking at pictures, but it looks like a full size 26in frame to me. What's throwing me off is that it was listed as a 62...
Hello all, I'm a new member here on the CABE from SoCal and I thought you Schwinn gurus might like to check out my ride. Now before some of you purists beat me to death because the bike isn't all original, hear me out. I bought the bike when I was 12 years old (17 now) for a couple months worth...
