Hi: I am very interested in your JC Higgins bike. I live near Williamsport PA. Map program shows about 3 hr 45 min south of you. Could possibly come pick up, but would you have an idea how much shipping would cost? Would you be going to Trexlertown swap meet by any chance? Thank You, Fred...
Hello-Very interested, but can't make the ML swap. Would you consider shipping? Possible delivery to Trexlertown? I live in central PA 17752. Thanks, Fred P

I have the same bike-that color too. Does it seem the 3 stripes on the fork are original? It would be cool to have bookends!

Thanks for posting this-very interesting article and quite an epidemic. What time does the meet get started on Sunday? Dawn-or is there an actual hour? Again thanks.
That is an amazing bike! Was there some sort of tragic event that made someone put away a brand new bike like that? I am not sure mine is a 1957-I Googled it and there is one that matched mine identified as '57. Mine does not have a head-badge and I can't quite see yours behind the headlight...
They look like the ticket! Did you have a price in mind? I suppose the longer ones would be a better idea, although I am not that tall another future rider might be. Thanks so much!
I am new to this hobby and to the CABE so forgive me if this is a dumb question. Why do early bicycles rarely have fenders and chain guards? I would have thought fenders would be important on muddy roads, and exposed chains sling grease on your pants. I also wonder what TOC means. Thanks
Anyone here have any experience with the seat post on a Roadmaster? I recently bought what I believe is a 1957 Pleasure Liner boys bike. I have the seat, but a previous owner messed up the seat tube on the frame. The guy I got it from said the post was just jammed into the frame (no clamp) and...
Looks like I have a nice set of grips for another project! Thanks for
sharing this info and the great pictures. This gives me something to strive toward.
Thanks and yours is a real beauty! The fender paint scheme is helpful. Mine has a set of chrome fenders, but I bought the right style, just not the right color yet. I have Schwinn Approved 'chubby' grips on mine right now, and was told they are not correct. Were these used on later years?
I have a similar bike (1955) with some wrong parts. What are the hand grips supposed to say-'Schwinn Approved' or just 'Schwinn'? What is the proper paint scheme for the fenders? Is there any pictures of original bikes that O could reference? Thanks!
