Hello,
Im looking for a set of peaked fenders for my 1939 Murray made Elgin men's bike. I would also consider fenders for the ladies bike.
Let me know what you have!
Thank you!
Chris
Very nice Elgin!
I don't want to be a downer but those aren't the right fenders for your bike.
Otherwise I would carefully spray goof off on the yellow and work it in with a tooth brush. Do small areas and hose it off before it bites into the original paint.
My $0.02 worth

I finished up my Westfield Wings badged bike today and took some pics.
It came to me a complete bike with original paint. The right side definitely sat facing the weather for a long time. I broke it down and gave it an OA bath. I acquired a tank off eBay that was house painted. I stripped it...
I put this together from a bunch of parts in my shop and I like it. It's a good rider.
The frame came to me partially stripped and clear coated. It's been hanging in the rafters for a while.
The tank, fenders, and rack came from a part-out of a Hawthorne a while back.
Other parts came from...
I just re-read your build thread...I have a curved seat tube Elgin coming to me. I believe it's Westfield made. Hope mine turns out half as nice as yours!
Its coming along...
Its got truss rods, and I painted the fenders. I have a Dayton badge and chain guard for it but they are still on their donor frame.
Looks like this right now...
