Does anybody know what this button was for? I picked up this the other day and thought it was pretty cool. It is very similar to the headbadge on my 46 Bf Goodrich Hollywood and the De Luxe on my tank is spelled the same. Maybe a basket button/ Emblem?
Here's a good find!
It took me a year to find what I was looking for. It's what I believe to be a early post war 46. This bike came from a small town in Pennsylvania. The new owners of the 80 year old house were cleaning it out and going through everything that was left in it. It was a state...

I need some help on wire routing. I made this Hornlite from multiple pieces. It was not complete when I got it. First one I've delt with. The best I can figure is the light needs a positive wire and the horn needs a positive and a negative wire. The light gets its ground from the horn ground...
When I start to true the rim it seems as though I may have to trim a little of the spoke that protrudes through the nipple. Spokes are 10 5/8 double butted. Rims are off of a 26" Schwinn "C" model. 4 Cross pattern. Is this normal or did I do something wrong?
Hoping someone experienced in this...
Hey Caber's
A friend of mine has this bike. Can anybody give me an idea of it's worth? It's yellow and in excellent condition. Trying to upload pic but it says the file is too large. PM me your number and I can text to you.
Thanks!
Robbie
Well, I cleaned my original chain from my 1936 C model. The chain was really rusted. Used white vinegar and left it in for 24 hrs. Scrubbed chain with a plastic brush and returned to vinegar. 24 more hours, pulled it out and scrubbed again. The rust is almost gone. Let it go for 24 more hours...
I'd like a few opinions please.
I have been working diligently on taking this blue spray can paint off without harming the original color. It's beginning to come off with a paint stripper I'm using. I have tried everything else people have suggested on this forum. Luckily, the stripper is only...
Well, she's a 1936 "C" model. Bike is pretty much complete with the exception of a few parts. Very rusty and crusty. Don't know if I can bring it back to the original black? Front hub is black and not much has cut through what ever it is. The blue is a spray can and someone through the Years...
"I am looking for a 1939 -1941 Schwinn DX, the equipped model with tank, light and rear rack. This is my first prewar Schwinn so I don't want to restore one or find a bunch of hard-to-find missing parts. The most important thing to me is finding a bike with all of the original paint parts -...

Hi All,
I'm new to this site and hoping for a few suggestions. When I was 12 for my birthday my parents took me to the Schwinn store to get a bike. I picked out a Apple karate non 5 speed. I loved that bike and wished I still Had it. Money didn't come easy for my
parents but that was a day I'll...
