Just want to know if it's an original or repop, guy I'm buying it from says he bought it from the original owners. But with the repops and there parts all over the place. I'd like a solid yes this is an original Liner buy with confidence.
It definitely fits the patina bill, but I'm not to...
I'm looking for a good parts donor for my 1940 CWC Supreme, don't care about paint condition. Just need good solid parts.
This is what she looks like right now, as you can see I basically need everything.
Well I found another local unicorn, Some of the original paint is still hiding under the spay can job.
She's missing her right fork legs, if ya got parts let me know.
If you could also tell me what badge this would have been, that'd be awesome.
I think she's a 1940, but if ya can translate...
Game plan so far.
-Repack whole bike with fresh grease
-Replace the bent crank
-Boiled linseed oil treatment for the paint
-WD-40 and steel wool for the chrome bits.
-Might try to repair the original Troxel seat
Found this on Craigslist recently guy thought it was a 1939 Roadmaster, after a little poking around it looks more like a 40-42 tall tank CWC Western Flyer, has the Roadmaster badge though. Rivets were punched out on the badge which makes me think it was replaced. Also can't tell if it was a...
This is a 1970s Stratostreak II, made in Europe for Montgomery Wards. Now that it's warm it up outside I figured I'd do some work.
After teardown and clean up this is how she looked.
Decided I was going to use a Lester Meg in the back, but the yellows weren't the same. So I went with...
Putting up my 1939 Shelby Traveler for sale, what you see is what you get. Its a great rider, I just need to down size. Has lightening Dart White Walls, original messenger saddle, original pre-war truss rods, Torrington 8 men's pedals, Thompson Coke bottle grips. Paint is a 1950s or 60s redo...
This is how she started out, straight out of Pocatello Idaho. Haven't been able to start working this this old girl because of how Krusty she was, soaked her for a month with BP Blaster just so I could disassemble with out striping all the components.
And this is after I rebuilt the head set...
I did a test patch on the tank, and it seems all the OG orange paint is still under the house paint. And as you can see it's in fantastic shape for being painted over.
And the fenders and frame also have the OG paint as well.
This is the original fork and it's pretty beat to heck, so...
The bike started it's life out as a 1950 J.C Higgins special line the most basic model J.C Higgins made at the time, it's still very much original J.C Higgins just with some extra Higgins parts added on.

1930s D.P Harris badged as a Zenith, this bike has a bit of a story It was first bought some time in the early to mid 30s in Idaho, definitely ridden hard most it's life. <---- this part is my personal speculation and the pervious owners tale about where and how he got it.
Then in the 60s it...
Alright I have this Twin Bar, don't know what model it is Twin 60, 20, 40, 50 etc. Just need some complete fenders, any condition regarding paint. Just need fenders with struts and no big dents or pitting.
I need the correct fender struts for this 50s Higgins, as you can see the fender struts that are on there are to short and they bow out the front fender, oh and these are the gothic/peeked style fenders.
I bought this bike as a parts donor for my 52 J.C Higgins colorflow project. When I first got it had a whole bunch of color flow Parts on it, it went through quite a few changes since I first got it.
The guy I bought it from I thought it was a 1949 J.C Higgins colorflow, ended up being a 1950...
