They are out there Came across this a week ago at local bike shop. can’t remember the year but it is NOS bike.
Just found I did take a picture of the badge.
Two High Plains new in the box. Shop owner ordered them because he knew they were ending production. Unfortunately date code not stamped on the boxes so not sure when they were actually made.
Thought I would start a friendly debate. I have two 52 Phantoms. One nicely restored with a few reproduction parts. The other pretty much original except for the seat. Which one is more desirable? I like them both.
Found some close to NOS Slivertown tires so switch out the tires on the Aerocycle. Rear hub had not been greased so took care of that while I had I wheel off.
Made some changes to this double bar roadster today. I had cleaned and greased the hubs a couple weeks ago. Mounted some fat franks changed the bars and seat and added a kickstand. Pulled the crank and it dates 36.
Went to an estate of a Whizzer collector. Must have been over 50 Whizzers in the collection. Got some tires, Delta front loader, nice glass reflector, and the one of the few bikes without a motor. 48ish B6 of course it’s a Whizzer frame.
Got the final piece to the puzzle for this Orange Krate the shifter and finished it. Then my favorite job, not, cleaning and greasing a New Departure hub.
Decided to fool around with parts that were just laying around and came up with this. Fastback frame cut down a girls springer BMX wheels. Not sure what to call it.
In reply to some of the comments about riding it. As Shawn said this bike has not been ridden. I don’t think there is any grease in the hubs or anywhere else. The seat has not been tightened and is held up with a zip tie around the post. Most of the nuts and bolts are not tight. I do want to...
