Mike welcome! yes to Stezell the tank is off another bike. as far as the welding goes ,i would sand it down first w/ a 4.5 angel grinder (flapper wheel) then find someone with a tig welder to finish it up..good luck w/ your project Richard
it may not come off ? mine looks the same but side cover comes off ! for storage ! your trailer looks great! btw.. my trailer pic's should be acc? on the cabe but not sure? also search pismo coast village vintage trailer rally in the month of may of each year! Richard
Welcome, i know its been a few weeks since you posted the pics.. also Krakatoa has the same chart as I, look at my avatar bike its a 1940 3 gill bent tank CWC , also my seat is in correct its from the 20's -30's hope this helps..Richard
What i find interesting is from the 20's to the 50's they never made a bike under their own name probably thousands of bikes? or more? largest maker of bikes? who knows?
John welcome there are a few collectors of english bikes here on the cabe , I live near you up on the hill ! I 've collected tank bikes since the 80's and welcome!!!
when you look at the chart and compare them to serial numbers of actual cabers bikes and my own it looks like, 1945 and all of 46-47 for shure!! not sure when in 45!! and girls may be the same but not sure?
Adrian , Welcome ! I'am not shure that the hub your looking for is correct to monark silver king? I had several of these in the 80's . the og. rims on these are; sheet metal and don't have a rolled edge . most of the hubs like these are elgin . hoping someone will get back to us w/ more answers...
Peter i think your on the right track! my guess is rollfast / snider built maybe late 40's to early 50's its (not) a cwc for shure hope this helps Richard...
