Yes, this wasn't off a tandem. Off a 1964 middle weight American. I have no knowledge of tandem Schwinn bikes. So I guess they must have a model specific fender. Thanks for the help.
$70 shipped cont USA.
A few small dings, light scratches, I can try to send better pics if you are interested. Came off 1964 American. Not exactly perfect but a lot better than most out there.
No wife, no kids. I have had bikes ripped off right out of my shed in the backyard. I imagine they will probably get stolen as soon as the neighbors find out I'm dead.
I lived in a rural area, the delivery person is contracted. She wouldn't even attempt a package delivery, she only gave out the slips, you know, sorry I missed you pick up your package at the post office. One day she just delivered the mail and I had a slip, I went to the post office, it was a...
I bought a e-bike, liked it. It was a hub motor and just didn't have the power for hills. I've done some research now and I'm currently in the process of building a mid-drive with a 3 speed rear hub, should handle the hills just fine. The battery is expensive so I built a Arduino based welder to...
I have a couple Industrial News Boy frames, it's not the large size. At 6'5" you might be crowded. If you like the look of the Worksman INB then check out the Sportsman Flyer frame, it's the same as the INB but stretched several inches and a loop bottom tube (unfortunately for you it's still...
Worksman M2600 frame, it's the larger size frame that Worksmans make. It would make a nice larger size klunker. Classic look, larger size, USA made lugged frame, Industrial strength, steel.
A restoration is defined. Period. I said refurbish because you might need a head set and OEM is hard to find but Wald sells one, or a sprocket, or whatever. Under that barn red might be original paint mabe not. If not your going to paint it, might as well paint original colors. Cool keep it as...
Not a Schwinn. Mabe do a refurbish instead of restore. Awesome you acquired your father's bike, priceless in memory and heart. Restoration problaty not practical but refurb and keeping it upright defenality worth while considering the personal history. Ride and enjoy your father's bike and pass...
Heck, find me one! I'll take it! I also have a Regulator fork, nice quality, everything has bushings, beautiful welds, just a nicely made fork. Goes nice on your frame.
They called them Duplex forks. Humber only. Guy in India is repoping them with 1 inch SAE instead of the Winthworth threads. I guess you can tell I like Humber Duplex forks. Humber May Pole chain rings are pretty cool too.
I'm surprised acetone is compattable with a dollar store ketchup bottle, learn something everyday. I mix mine 50/50. I use a bottle with a little flip spout to keep the acetone from evaporating to much, I paid dearly for the bottles, they are Nalgene, had no idea dollar store bottles would work...
Bought a homemade welding cart $50, wanted the wheels because they were old Harley. The hubs turned out to be rare step hubs, $1000.
Bought a Abu Garcia fishing reel $5 at yard sale, sold $350 on fleabay to collector in Japan.
My scores are miniscule compared to the other posts.
Very traditional English 3 speed. Looks like it's in pretty nice shape. Comfortable upright riding posision. Time tested S/A 3 speed. Lube it up, should make a fun rider!
ISO slimline tank, any color, fair condition, horn not important, surface rust, scratches, minor dents and dings no problem. I have a tank tabbed rider and thought it's time to put the tabs to use again. It just looks naked with tabs and no tank hanging there. Men's, Schwinn, 26.
Great advice. I use a Mack pin stripe brush even painting between tape, they load up good so you can draw a long line with out reloading the brush as often, and they are made for thin lines so it's easy to say inside the tape. Not cheap, Squirrel hair, they will last if you take care of them.
I'm not familiar with the light weight Schwinns, but at 52 teeth I'm guessing it could be a light weight Schwinn. Who ever put this on a balloon bike had some legs and cardio.
This came on a 50's Schwinn straight bar balloon frame I just acqired. 52 tooth, fit the ashtabula one piece crank just fine. What is it? Some 1960's aftermarket? No markings. I'm just courious. Thanks!
No help on the bracket, but there are repop Schwinn fender rivets that are actually bolts, not rivets. Easy way to fill a unused hole on a fender. Tried to post a link but it didn't work.
I live in WA, Aaron's Bike Repair in Seattle has a good reputation, they do alot of IGH and such. You can look them up, they have a web site. If your not local and they are hubs it might be worth mailing them, if complete with rims might not be cost effective. With a name like "deepsouth" I'm...
