Upon dismantling this fork removed from 53 Panther, I discovered these two washers on the pivot bolt just inside each leg. I have taken apart many of these, but don’t think I have ever seen this. Is this correct? When did it start if it is? Thanks in advance. I know you guys can help
Just picked up this 53 Panther. Guy just got it from original owner. Must have sat in damp garage or basement. I don’t think it’s ever been apart, very complete, original tires, pedals, hardware. I usually clean them but maybe not this one. Will probably service and ride around local cruise notes.
Nice set truss fork fenders. Will work for spring fork too . Braces are straight but have some silver paint. Battery holder is shot but fender tray is fine. Small amount of silver paint on underside. Switch works smooth. Pins are very nice. 240 shipped

Had a thread going on this bike. Was looking for a chain guard, finally found one a few months ago. Had incorrect front bracket which I knew, no big deal, easy mod. Was wrong color too, had to match. Turned out ok

Very clean set of 4 inch pedals. I believe these were never installed on a bike. Estate sale find. No rash on end caps and no wear on the blocks. Axles are straight and threads are perfect. Minor spots of corrosion from sitting in a garage. 125 shipped, postal mo
So a couple days ago was lucky to score this bike. After some research saw there were at least two chain guards available. Which do I need, the longer one that looks kinda like post war SD or the smaller feather style. Is the xpert speedo correct or an add on? Thought this was just Elgin thing...
