Hello gang. Some nice machines you’ve all been posting. Found this lovely wandering gypsy and wanted to share her. I believe it’s original except front tire (swallow) and chain (kmc). Owner said it never had a yellow Turbo. Maybe the “Lemond”spec. Anyone have a lead on identical replacement...

Hello everyone,
I couldn’t help myself.
This was advertised as Raleigh Lenton but we know thimble fork crowns not present.
I did some digging and heard Lenton name reused mid 60s on a Robin Hood on a standard carbon steel bike.
Owner said he bought in ‘69 and was told it was about 10 years old ...
Thought I would share this water foul ‘75 Super Tourer. The ugly heron of the 70’s here “dans son jus.” I have not cleaned up at all yet -as found. I was so happy to find it as it’s totally unmolested / “improved.” I understand at the time it was drop bars or else it’s not a serious bike and...
Hopefully this will soon be coming my way.
Said to be ‘39 and based on ball tip seat stays and head lugs, the frame fits the bill.
Crankset does not look like the ones on other ‘39s I’ve seen. Was this an option or? Is it a + or -?
The rest looks correct from what I see
Appreciate info and...
Hello everyone,
found this some months ago but have not been able to get to refurbishing it yet. Pictures show as found. I believe either 1960 or 1961 Raleigh Lenton Grand Prix - the last in the line. Here are a few pictures. It’s quite compete. Sadly the front wheel is a replacement ( sturmey...
Hello everyone,
wondering if anyone could facilitate a bike that’s in Lafayette and deliver to Indianapolis. Once in Indy I have friend who can take it to me in Detroit.
Thanks for any help you can lend, Steve
Wondering if anyone can pickup bike in Cleveland area. I’m in Detroit and would normally go pick up but War Dept. (Who came up with idea of the fairer sex?) is putting up road block. Possible to hold until I can come get it or if you’re heading west for trip I would meet you in Toledo or...

Hello Cabers! I justified this bike as potential huret jubilee spares for the ‘74 Super tourer I bought 4 months prior (mounting bolt on Fd is bent due to someone over tightening) . Well this bike is too nice to part out in my opinion so another project!
One of the rRaleigh 501pedals had bent...
Hello everyone,
Last few months I’ve been doing my best impression of @HARPO - the two wheel ornithologist of the east! First found 74 Super tourer, then 73 competition, then 70 tourist, then 74 Grand Prix, and now today, well ?...you tell me! The ST and Comp and are work in progress while the...

Hello everyone,
I've always admired schwinn lightweights but don't have one as of yet. I found this one claimed to be from the 1950's and think I'll go take a look at it but I would like some advice about these front forks. They look bent to me or maybe it's just the pictures which are not the...

Picked this one up last week. I may have to change my handle because this one is anything but slow! Almost all original except MKS pedals and IHC gum walls and original B15 saddle was lost over the years and latest owner found and installed vintage B15 narrow. which he laced with color matching...
Hello everyone,
Purchased this earlier in the year and spent a good 5 weeks of evenings & weekends completely disassembling , cleaning, re-greasing all bearings, and waxing. Thanks to Pat from Dayton for saving it and passing it on. The bike is completely original including Dunlop sprite...
Hello everyone,
Perusing and found this. Looks Italian to me. Seller says it's a "Radius" ( can be seen on chain guard) from 1960's. What do you think it is?
Hello Cabers!
Here's a good mystery for you experts!
Finishing up on of my '63 sports and am having an issue where chain is tight/loose depending on crank sprocket rotation. When you rotate the crank the chain tightens and loosens depending on the angle of the crank arm. On the drive side...
