Positron was supposed to be an idiot proof shifting system It was neither idiot proof or a good shifting system. Just use a regular derailleur friction system. Roger
Tote cycles were made from 1965 to 1975ish with no basic difference between them. I have 3 and each is a bit different than the others. You can find them in old Sears catalogs of that era. Roger
Do you speak Italian and have many Lira to spend? Nice motorcycle but I have no idea if any parts are available. If it doesn't run it is not worth much. Roger
Buy a cheap digital caliper and measure the hole size. You can get one at HF for less than $5 and you will have the RIGHT answer and you can use it many times in the future. Roger
Any long cage rear derailleur will work on that bike and will probably work better than those did. Sun Tour long cages would be my first choice. A Super Sport is a nice bike and I have 6 at last count but they will not have more or less value with the wrong derailleur if the one you have...
It is basically a Continental and has about the same value or not a lot. I have 4. 2 1974s, 1 1975 and and 1 1977. The most I paid was $75 for the 1977 as that is the rarer one. The correct name for the frame is short coupled and it is a bit of a gimick and was supposed to climb better and...
Troxel made many variations of their seats depending on what the buyer wanted for the bike they would go on and the price the bike seller was willing to pay. Roger
It is easy to do this with a BMX 3 speed crank adapter and the crank set of your choice. I have several bikes done the adaption and have had no problems. Schwinn built and sold many new bikes like this. Roger
I have one like in the above picture and it is fast but the one in the first pictures is even better and faster. I believe they were nick named "bird cage Moultons" Roger
How many spokes and which rim are you using? You need to know that for an answer. I know you know that but I do not. If you have those items you can use any spoke calculator on the net. Roger
I paid $500 for an original one owner 1974 Paramount that only required air in the tires in 1999. You did not get screwed but I think you know that. Roger
It is a bike that I would not try to restore or you could go broke trying to make it correct. If you like it use it as and add parts you find and like. In other words Rat Rod it. Roger
They were still making that style tandem in the Paramount Shop in the 1970s. They were known a close coupled bikes. I sold one in Madison at the Brazen Dropouts Swap a couple of years ago. Drop bars and Campy derailleurs. I also at one time owned a T&C T005143 and that was built in the early...
Yes I still own it and it doesn't have serial number because it was a demo. They still have me down as the owner and all the details of the bike. Roger
This is my Bike Friday I bought from them as a trade in 1995. They told me it was the second Pocket Rocket they build and it had been used as a demo bike. I have done a few updates over the years and still enjoy it. Roger
The Waterford plant only made Paramounts and then Waterfords which is the evolution of the Paramount. They also made some Superiors in that plant also. Richard Schwinn is still an part owner of that plant known as Waterford Precision Bicycle. Waterford does a have a website and still does...
Each one is about 20 to 30% new info. There was a lot of new and changing parts and designs in that era. That is why I bought the newer ones. If I could find like a newer about 2000 edition I would add it to my collection. No I do not one for $200. Roger
I have 3 of them on my book shelves. One copyrighted in 1970s one in the 1980s and one in the 1990s. All slightly different but very useful. All bought in used book stores. Roger
