I found this original 1966 Deluxe Stingray a while back. I thinks it's cool that it has the original license but I'm used to seeing them installed behind the seat post. Does anyone know how to safely remove the license plate straps without damaging so I can re-install ?

I think I finally figured out that a 24 inch 1950's Schwinn American has the balloon fender with indents for the frame. I know other models have them, but I haven't seen anybody selling them with the indents... lately

@ Wards Guy Does the rear fender have the little indents where the frame mount is ? Would you mind measuring the distance between the lower frame mount hole and the upper frame mount hole ? I think it's 13 inches on my frame.. BTW, thanks for posting..

I'm planning on lacing up some rims soon and I was wondering if 12 gage spokes would be too bulky looking for an S-7 with a Westwind tire. (This isn't my bike, but I know that these are S-7's with Westwind tires) Do these look like 12 gage spokes ?

On Petes old website there was a guy in Minnesota that he referred for painting. He painted my Stingray a few years ago and I remember that he was in Long Lake Minn, but I can't I find his contact info. Does anybody remember who he was ?
