I took the frame to a local shop and test fit a standard 1 1/8” threadless cup and it seemed to be a good fit. I’ll likely just get a threadless fork and pair it with the threadless headset and the threadless stem I’d already bought.

Based on the Murray thread here, it seems that it would be a 62 based on the serial starting with a “U”. Did they start over with the numbers in the 70’s?
