Had a little time on my hands and at the point of restoring all of my parts for assembly so I hand sanded my 50’ Schwinn frame. (For some reason Jasco wasn’t effective) I have a little more paint removal left.
Were Mesinger B1 Deluxe saddles reproduced? Can anyone advise of the approximate year or any other info on this saddle? Is this correct for an early (49/50) Phantom. Thanks

Parts correct for a 1950 Phantom Deluxe
First of all I wanted to ask, was it common to have the year stamped next to the serial number on the crank housing. Just curious.
What is the best way to safely remove the bearing cups without scuffing or damaging them?
How do I remove the kickstand. I see a pin on the housing.
What does approves mean and does it apply to new reissue or reproduction parts?
If these are original parts when did they add “approved” to the parts?

Was the 1950 Phantom originally come from the factory with primer under the paint?
(Looking to use Klean-Strip Aircraft Paint Remover, to remove the patch work of paint)
So...I’m starting with a 50 frame with only a kickstand and an AS seat clamp. I’m going to familiarize myself with the correct parts to rebuild this bike so pardon any obvious and newbie questions that I may ask.
