Found this skip tooth wheel... Was pretty sure it was what I need for my Huffman 1940 but I asked to be 100%... When I found out yes I needed it.. gone... Also check out this bike.. What is (was) it?... Was $125.. again gone... Sucks not knowing what is a deal or what is the correct part...

I noticed you kept the bed rail bracket on.. make another out of the foot board and connect the two!... though I don't think it'd make the best corner turns.. Ha

Hi Mercian... Here is that number you were talking about... H11 ... So November of 1941? you can see it was a dark maroon color... a lot of paint is gone but gonna mess with this bike through the winter.. fenders are pretty dented up.. noticed different threads on "Fender Rolling"... anyone...

Looks to be a decal under the checker bar... You can see a "G" looking for a Checker Bar sign.. hard to find only found the one you did.. the littler repro signs are nice but they will fade fast as the inks on them are not UV friendly... maybe if you clear coat them with a UV sealer... I sent...

My bike looks a lot like yours and it had a date stamped on the back of the fork... check there

Welcome!... Killer bike.. goes perfect with the '57... I'm new here too... there are amazing bikes on this site... I collect soda memorabilia but I've added bikes. A lot of knowledge here. Leaving them as survivors has become it's own class in a lot of collector circles... gas pumps, soda...

Thanks Freqman1... I went out and found these numbers.. you can see a "40" real well... the other number before is up a little higher could be a 5 or 7? paint is so thick there... but 40 is the year? Dang thought for sure it was a 60s bike... this is older than the Shapleigh? looks newer... See...

While I'm posting images will go ahead and post this other bike I bought at auction a couple years back... nobody was interested in it so I got it for $1.. It seemed so straight had to get it. I don't think it's super old (maybe 1960s?) Thinks its been repainted...no real dents anywhere would...

Thank you all for the welcome.. Here is the serial number from the crank (Thanks Freqman1 for letting me know where it was) The paint is really bad.. I tried some fine steel wool, oven cleaner (have had good results with that on soda coolers) but not here and the back fender is really dented up...
