I purchased a rust bucket Stelber today. It had this awesome seat on it. The rest of the bike needs serious help. Im probably going to put it on the shelf until i find the right bike for it

Is this a boys saddle?

Hello. Just stumbled onto your post, many years later. I have this bike, and just pretty much chased all the parts for the past year. Just looking for the correct seat now. Eould love to discuss more if you want?
Thanks for the quick reply. I would prefer the correct 1949 one. I dont love the long spring totally, so im open to other options as long as its is a “black boys persons.” Do you have one of those to sell?

Hey Cabers!
What is the difference between these 2 seats. Both are Troxel in and out.
The seat on the right has heavier/stronger springs it seems.
What years would these seat made.
What bikes were these typically on?
Can you soften up the leather?
My guess is 1950’s. I think its in great shape. Looking forward to ripping it apart, and cleaning her up. Any help with the exact year would be appreciated. Ride on!
Hey Cabers,
I may potentially buy this bike. All i have is this pic alone. I don't have the bike. A buddy reached out to me because he knows I love to lose money and time playing with bikes while I restore them. So he sent me this pic so he can buy for me. What are your thoughts?
Could it be...

Not sure what this comment means exactly? Or if its directed towards me? All i did was post in the proper discussion platform. My apologies if you seen this bike, and if this thread is monotonous for you. If you have nothing positive to say, best choice is to zip it.
Just scored.
Haven't seen this before, serial #9H04653 on the seat clamp. No rust, wheels will clean up nicely. Grips, pedals and seat seem not original.
