I am selling my Sears Spaceliner Bicycle. I purchased it from a collector in Phoenix 4 years ago and now I'm ready to part with it...too many toys. I've attached a lot of photos that do a great job of describing the bicycle. From a bit of research I've done, it appears to be original. When I...
When I got my Spaceliner I took it completely apart. I don’t recall anything particularly difficult about removing or installing the springed front fork. As I recall, I put the bolts back in but didn’t tighten them until all bolts were in place, then tightened them. I noticed another CABER...
Hello CABErs. I have an antique bicycle pump and I'd like to get your comments on it. It was given to me by a friend who found it in her father's garage. She knows that I do some restoring of bikes and though I'd like to have it. The only thing I know about it is that it is old. I see no...
For anyone who is interested, I read an excellent book on the Schwinn Bicycle Company. It’s titled “No Hands”, “The Rise and Fall of the Schwinn Bicycle Company, An American Institution” by Judith Crown and Glenn Coleman. It provides insights into how the Schwinn Company started and how it...
Hi, I’m trying to download the catalogs for the sears spaceliner but I cannot get the link to work. I notice it’s over 8 years old. Are the files still there?

On the wiring, I haven't tried to get the lights/horn to work but when I took it apart to clean and paint, it all looked intact. Some cleaning up to do, but I fully expect that the light/horn will work based on appearances.
Thanks for the quick reply. By servicing the hub, I mean when I first got the bike, it would not change gears and when I quit pedaling it would slow quickly. My intuition told me the hub was gummed up. I read up on the hub and decided that it would be a little over my pay-grade to tear apart...
I found this Sears Deluxe Spaceliner on craigslist. It was really in excellent shape...all I had to do was clean it up, service the kickback hub, chrome paint the plastic housing on the tank...that's it. From reading a post on CABE, it appears to be a "1965-65 26" Deluxe chrome Mens, 2-speed...
