    Schwinn kickstand not working right

I believe the stand is original. Everything on the bike appears to be original including the brick style tires(until I changed the back one). Although I don’t know much about bikes and even less about tandem bikes.

    Schwinn kickstand not working right

I bought a schwinn twinn recently and I can’t figure out the kickstand. It hits the back pedals when in the up position and goes way to far down so that the bike does not want to stand up properly. Also, it snaps when engaging it. I was able to figure out getting it off and it’s well...

    Sears muscle bike worth restoring?

Cool …thanks for the info. I’d love too and might do a few things. I’m mainly a woodworker and in the middle of a complete 1896 house restoration. And I still have a completely disassembled, paint stripped “space bike” in my attic that I started in the pandemic. The damn children grow up so fast...

    Sears muscle bike worth restoring?

Ok great - that’s what I’m looking to do, just used the wrong terms. It does not have to be mint, just ride and be the coolest kid in the neighborhood. Our family digs the worn in look for pretty much everything in our house so this will fit in perfectly.

    Sears muscle bike worth restoring?

I’d like to get my son a vintage bike for his birthday in July and have it restored. This Sears bike is listed near me for $350 and I’m in love with it. In your opinion, is this bike worth $350 plus what it would take to restore at a local shop? Not trying to make money, just don’t want to have...

Lets see your Chromed Spaceliner style bike

Yea sorry I confuse Spaceliner with all these Murray bikes with similar frames. I was referring to the thread on Murray serial numbers. The closest I can find is an Astro Flite?

Lets see your Chromed Spaceliner style bike

I’ve had this for 2 years and I’m finally working on it. Anyone know what model it is? Can’t seem to find a match on the serial number thread. The number is MO5...64 567192. This is my first time attempting to refurbish a bike and I can’t seem to figure out what the original looked like. Anyone...

Trading my Sears Spaceliner for Toilet Paper...

Would you consider shipping it if I can send you a box, packing material and a shipping label with all the requested paper products? I can even schedule a pickup with UPS so you can just leave it on the porch.

Help with what kind of bike? Western Flyer?

wow thanks for that. So cool! So this originally had an electric light? I have the chain guard, but mine is a bit different. And I see there is a hole in the rear fender for a reflector. Looks like I’m also missing whatever that is above the front fender past the fork. Any idea what that is? Do...

Help with what kind of bike? Western Flyer?

Thanks for the info! I love old bikes and I think it would be a good project for me to familiarize myself with taking apart and putting bikes back together. Rubbing down all the chrome will take forever, but I’m willing to do it because I do get satisfaction on refurbishing old things (Mostly...

Help with what kind of bike? Western Flyer?

I’m brand new to this forum and would appreciate any help I can get working on this bike. I bought it a few years ago from a woman who’s father owned it. She had 4-5 bikes that were mostly rusted out and she said “this is the one he loved and kept in the garage.” I’ve been wanting to bring it...
