I have two Raleigh badged 16” folders that I would like to find a home for. I was told that they were made by Huffy. I don’t know if that is so. They are maroon in color. They look to be newer than the RSW or shopper. Is there an interest in these by any chance?
The old saying buyer beware was coined before the advent of eBay. I’ve had some good and bad experiences on eBay. Not to be too negative, but I’ve learned to protect yourself from the worst. There are those who are impossible to please.
Billy,
I sold the bike for a song. I sold it to a gentleman who buys and sells bikes. He bought a number of bikes. This bike was sold for only $250. However, I was told it was worth $500 and I saw one on eBay going for $1500, but not as nice. Both bikes, mine and eBay had the”patina”. I hope...
These bikes were sold to the same fine gentleman who bought some other Raleigh bikes yesterday. I still a nice men’s 23”, a 1953 with chain guard (missing handle bars and brakes), a Robin Hood possible handle bars brakes donor. Two really cool folders , but need tires. A ladies Raleigh in blue...
I bought this years ago from a guy who used it for triathlons. He told me that it was the bike that “made” him. I never road it. I need to measure the frame. It is meant for a tall rider.
They could use new tires and some steel wool, however they are not your usual folding bikes. Make an offer if you’re interested. I sold 8 bikes today so it looks like things may go faster than I thought.
These bikes sold today to a real gentleman and true bike lover. I still have another set of men’s ladies, not as nice as these though, but it’s the only pair I have now. The other pair do have an interesting feature, they have coaster brakes.
The complete 1957 went today. The 1953 is available, but it needs brakes and handle bars. Perhaps you could buy the Robin Hood and use the parts to complete the ‘53. It wouldn’t be all original, but you'd have an enclosed chain. Let me know if this is of interest to you.
I’m selling two Maroon Raleigh folders. One has cast pedals which are rather nice. The other has rust showing through the paint on the forks. Certainly not museum quality, but definitely adequate for riding.
Two 20” folding bikes for sale. One a Mariella with 3 speed derailleur. The rims need to be shined up. The paint has spots of rust showing through paint. The other bike is a Motoconfort with an adjustable automatic two speed hub. I thought it was pretty cool so I bought it. I’m selling both as a...
I have three Raleigh Folding Twenty bicycles for sale. I’m selling as a package deal. One has fenders and rack but needs tires. One has fenders and rack. One doesn’t have fenders or rack.
Selling three bikes. A green RSW non-folding. A gold Shopper. It doesn’t have the original handle bars or handlebar stem clamp, but it still works fine. The third one is a green shopper that needs tires and rims.
Men’s Robin Hood three speed. Not the nicest paint. Would you call it a patina? Should you repaint? Should you harvest for parts? I don’t know- you probably know better than I do.
Good morning ladies and gentlemen,
I’m selling two Raleigh bikes. One complete 1957. The other is missing the handle bars and brakes. I’m also selling a Robin that has those parts. If you wanted to I guess you could harvest them for the 1953 bike.
Another Raleigh three speed for sale. It’s a 23” frame. The tires are gum sidewalls and the gum is balling up a bit. Check my posts for more goodies for sale.
Some more bikes for sale. Another pair of Raleigh men’s ladies. There is a bit of gray overspray on the frame. The rims are really rusty. These bikes are three speed with coaster brakes. I thought that was a cool feature, that’s why I bought them. I’ve owned them for years and have done nothing...
I’m down sizing so here it goes. I’m in Salem NJ. and I’m selling a men ladies pair of Raleigh bicycles for $150. They have locking forks, sorry no key, and a dynamo. I’ve got more bikes that I’ll be posting.
Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have a number of Raleigh bikes for sale. Some 21” men’s and ladies Superbes, and Sports, some Twenty’s, some 16”. Also two other folders. One Motoconfort auto 2 speed hub, and a Mariella with 3 speed derailleur. If you are truly interested let me know. If you...
