Newbie, indicator swindle thread into my SA 3 speed hub, 1959 Corvette. Came without cable and connector. Coaster bike hub internals?
Thanks everybody out in cabe land for the help, especially SKPC. I think I have found the problem. The key pin was set at an angle and not level as to enable the spindle indicator to thread. I enclosed 2 pics showing it. Also when I got the pin out I found it was slightly bent and I could barely...- histacks

Newbie, indicator swindle thread into my SA 3 speed hub, 1959 Corvette. Came without cable and connector. Coaster bike hub internals?
Didn't work. Changed the extended axle nut that was on the wrong side of the bike but it made no difference( the axle internals can be accessed no matter what nut is on it. I had two bike shop mechanics try it with the same result (no bite). The indicator spindle screws into a (key pin) that...- histacks

Bike came without gear shifter or cables( essentially a coaster bike) but I saw the extended axle nut for an indicator spindle and cable, thought it might be a 3 speed. Upon cleanup the hub turned out to be a SA 3 speed. I ordered an old vintage shifter and cable but the spindle won't thread...- histacks
