I love this bike. Can’t bring myself to swap the bars to make a daily rider. Got it at a sale and had to order the handlebars and a pedal from EBay. Fast bike, 2 speed. That’s was a nice reflector idea on the seat.
Scored this speedster at estate sale last week. Was able to find a perfectly matched pedal on EBay and a set of bars. Pumped the tires and rode it today. Two speed, like it came from the shop. Brand new bike
I’ve always wanted a two speed and I came across this very complete 1967 speedster with yellow band hub today at an estate sale. Price was right so I grabbed the other one speeds in the photo as well. Bike was displayed on a shelf against the shop wall so the guy cut the handlebars in half and...
No pics but shop was “Pops” just north of Edinger on Bristol in Santa Ana, Ca. In the mid 1970’s Schwinn Cyclery opened a couple miles south of Pops on the opposite side of Bristol. I was stoked and I got a job at the Schwinn shop in 1977 and spent my first paycheck as a down payment on my...
Wondering if anyone can answer the question of when did Schwinn cruiser models switch to Shimano coaster brakes??? I swapped out the original bars and would like to get correct seat
Hoping someone can assist me in identifying this bicycle before I go and have a look at it. Interesting double top bars, and seems to be complete. No photos of badging. Value? Thanks Rigs
Here’s a picture of my Green Genie. Not sure what year it was. I put the tank on for looks. It had a quick release front hub. This was my favorite bike until someone liked it more than me and stole it from the garage.
It’s a 26 inch bike. I had an extra old rack I threw on it Ride good but is definitely not a bike for cruising. Aftermarket knobbies the whitewalls were rotted.
This bike was left to me by wife’s gpa some years ago. I found a chainguard and put some rear tandem bars on it. The rack makes it the heaviest. I have the original bars but not chainguard. 1980
Greetings, was hoping someone could provide some information on this light. It’s missing a couple parts including what seems to be a 6” lens. Photo of bulb which was removed from it. It clamps onto a bar, half of clamp is missing. Hopefully someone can tell me what it came from, motorbike? Car...
That shop used to be right down the street near Mater Dei H.S. I believe it closed after the opening of Schwinn shop down the street. My older bro bought a Peugeot bike there and it was stolen first day he rode it to school. Memories
Here’s a Schwinn Bantam I’ve been working on recently. Our daughter has a son and is having a gender reveal party for her second child this weekend. If it’s a girl the bike would be perfect for when the kids get a little bigger, Let’s hope for a boy so I can keep my oddball Schwinn bike, so much...
It’s pretty much a one coat primer it’ll get rid of scratches and blend but retain factory details. I purchased it at an auto body paint shop it was about 12 bucks. I’ll have to send you the name of the shop they may be franchised
If you’re doing a repaint and don’t want to use a gun this is absolutely the best primer you can buy. High build and covers perfectly and forgives scratches and blemishes. Hit it with some 1000 or 1500 and paint comes out flawless.
I checked your question on the forum due to this is about my 15th Schwinn I’ve worked on and discovered no master link on my chain either. It’s a 70s bantam. I laid the chain upright and struck between the outer part of the links with a sharp chisel and hammer and it popped the outer side of...
