With all due respect, everything you're dealing with is rudimentary. I feel you don't have the basic skills or knowledge to solve a simple problem on your own. What you need is a friend, someone with basic knowledge and simple problem solving skills. Maybe a local shop teacher or class?

This is available locally and admittedly, I am no expert but I know you folks are. Thanks.

The "guys" here deemed it all original except the tires and "paint job". I would ship from 93422. Wheels are nice but I'm not a "bike guy" and have no idea what a fair price would be. I'll try to get some close ups tomorrow.
Who are best seat recoverers? I have a Whizzer Sportsman and was thinking about having the seat recovered. The original is intact but is cracking. It has the Whizzer logo embossed and I'd like to recreate that.
Thanks

After going over the bike more closely I can say that overall, the bike is mostly original or good repop parts. The areas where the bike is most lacking are the wheels, (front is marked CWC and the rear is Japanese, Araya), the fenders are wrong as whizzerbug pointed out. The stand may be wrong...
Hello all! I have an opportunity to buy this Sportsman from a friend. I would appreciate any and all input. Components you recognize, issues, values. Thanks in advance.

Since this bike appears to be all original, what is the best thing to do with it. Restore it? Paint it my favorite color? Sell it? Part it out?
I would sell it as is to a collector, but what is it worth? What if it's painted original color and decals, and clean up everything else? There is no...
Admittedly, I'm a Whizzer guy but not a bike guy. Saw this at the swap meet this morning and I knew it was the real deal, but what. Help a brother out.

He did! He had it on his local craigslist, lol. Someone alerted me either here or Facebook. It
will be a lot easier to find one in your part of the world. With your connections, you'll have no trouble making one.

Up through the ‘50s and into the 60’s Whizzer sold "Specials". The original Special was produced on a Schwinn made "DX" frame, with a Schwinn Springer fork. On the 1951 Special the engine mounts were welded on, the later ones were bolted on. The engine was current...
I'm saying original and there was no evidence of any hardware ever attached to it. A couple years ago, I was lucky enough to find a 52 NOS Pacemaker frame also.

Looking for a nice/NOS repop Schwinn springer fork from one of the the anniversary models. I think they were sold by themselves in addition to being offered on the bikes. Anyone have an extra laying around? I came across a NOS 1952 Schwinn DX with the modifications to be a Whizzer Special frame...
Great job. I had a similarish issue with a modern Whizzer. If overtighted, the lip around the drain plug can chip. I also solved it with not having to remove and reinstall the drain plug every time. Just flip the little lever until all the oil is drained.

She sells a module that replaces the points on a vintage Whizzer. Repop Whizzers don't have points and the module won't work. They have a Capacitor Discharge Ignition (CDI)

First be absolutely certain it is no spark. It could have other issues that plague all all modern Whizzers, 1999-2004.
If you confirm you have no spark you may have an issue with the stator mounting screws which are too short and not Loctited, coming loose. This results in occasional loss of...
