Here is the frame number from my friends Sterling (1897?). Found what might be the remnants of a frame number on mine, but can't make it out.

Thanks for the information. The crank I copied has a rectangular cross-section (1897?). I have already sent the file off to the 3D printers, but I think I can live with it being not exactly right.

Photo of my bottom bracket and chainwheel all clean and shiny. The bike had later wrong cranks and pedals when I got it, but I'm making replica cranks. Has S-20 stamped on the bottom bracket and lower head lug. Guessing this is the model number? Haven't found a frame number so far.

Mine has the chainwheel on the right, but your bike has it in the left. How were they originally set up? Has mine been swapped over?

Here are a couple of pictures of my Sterling. Think it is maybe a little bit earlier than yours as it has an older style chainwheel. Has "S-20" stamped under the bottom bracket and on the lower head lug. No evidence of it ever having a brake (crown is not drilled). Paint is not original, but...

Glad you found original Sterling cranks. TOC American bikes are pretty rare in Australia, so hard (impossible) to find parts like this here.
