Like the title say I am in search of a 1950s Roadmaster Jet Pilot 3 bar tank. I have included a picture if you have one or know of one let me know.
Thankyou
Sometimes some people get tired of carrying a 60 plus pounds bicycle up a flight of stairs just to go for a ride. This is why I sold my phantom. I am some people lol
Someone spray painted it before I got it I tried to get it back to the original paint but it was to far gone so I repainted it reverse jewell green .
This is how I got it the bike was originally green but not reverse
I think I like the spiral better I only need two things left for the 53 to find a tail lamp assembly and the plug that goes under the front fork to mount the front fender to. There is just a entry whole unless I'm missing something lol
I assume that you mean like the one on my pleasureliner I have only seen them on 1956 and 1957 and the star ones were on 1960s amf bikes and the early 50s were the circle slots
In all fairness I didn't think I would have to post this but the line for the bike will have to go by time of pm messages received. As of rite now the list is as follows
Prewar
Rockabilly
Than
Big Moe - Wards
This is only to make it clear on who I heard from and when
Same update I sent to prewar I just got back and not one of the three bike shops I went to had a single box but I was told maby Wednesday. Than I checked best buy for a TV box and that was also to no avail.
Adding some pictures of the dent/ slight bend and people asked me about the top tube to headstock brazing and it is not cracked just someone in the last 89 years of it's life repainted it.
Up for your consideration is my 1933 Elgin Falcon 28"
I picked this up a little while ago and I was considering restoring it but I have to many projects and to little space . It will come with original 28" wood clad wheels with a new departure hub and an original sprocket. The wood in the front...
Up for sale I have a 1960s Roadmaster Jet Pilot .
I picked it a a few years ago to restore but I have not gotten a chance to get around to it and I have recently switch over to 30s 40s and 50s bicycles.
If you have any questions please let me know.
Local pickup preferred in southern NJ
1960s 24" boys Roadmaster Jet Pilot project.
I picked this a a few years back to work on and yet to finish it . It will most likely need new tires and tubes I did have it riding about a year ago but since switched to 30s 40s and 50s bicycles.
Local pickup or meetup preferred in South Jersey .
I think just the hight and width of the jet . The pilot part should be like 3/4 inch high by about six inches by the look of it . I just want to try and get close with having to fix the metal and repaint it won't be original anyway
Also when you get a moment could you please take a few closer straight on pictures of the decals on the tank I have a company that supposedly can make me a set with a could good pictures and the measurements.
Does any one know what model this was I originally thought it might be a 50s jet pilot yet the color scheme is off and the red is original . Any help would be much appreciated
Thankyou
My bike don't mind the Schwinn seat lol
I am going to look at a what comes up as a 53 Schwinn but the serial number is on the bottom bracket and not on the drop out. I know Schwinn did use frames from previous years but that would place it at two years past the point of the switch over.
Serial K00486
Also the tank does not seem...
At the moment I am looking for a tank preferably an original in green and a rear rack in green as well it should be a 9 hole with the jewell reflector. In addition a set of fenders
Thankyou for your time any help would be appreciated
