It is in very good shape. I bought it from a guy i know…who got it from the original owner. It sat in my friends shed for 15 years. I dont think it saw much use at all. Im not doubting you on the date. But it doesnt look like a bike built in 63…to me anyways.
Do you know the SN on yours? Mine appears to be the same bike. SN T005709. I am not very knowledgeable on a lot of the Schwinn stuff as far as serial numbers etc. mine looks like a bike built earlier than the 60’s. And I could be very wrong that’s always a possibility. for sure.

I had checked that. Not alot to go on there. Tandems are not usually my thing and i didnt want to pay too much. I think i got it for a fair enough price that im ok on it. It is in good shape. Might be a fun bike for the summer.

Yes. The double bottom tubes actually were butt welded together. One seam in each about 5” from each bottom bracket on opposing ends. I personally think its neat in appearance. But not up close. It was pretty obvious that there were 2 very different skill levels of weld/braze going on.
