Nice Oxford bike you have there, one of a kind. I have this fender light bought it years ago at yard sale, so they also made parts.
Oxford Bicycle Headlight Single Cell No. 221 40mm Fender Mount NIP
The screw holes are 3-3/16-inches apart (center-to-center). The majority of these have a hole drilled somewhere on Lincoln's body. This one does not.
Okay Yes i see never know?
Yes if the holes are 3 3/16ths apart, I have a Schwinn Lincoln frame that has that unusual longer distance hole spacing? You can pm with pricing, or just post it here. Nice looking badge!
Hello Cabers, I do not know all the headbadges that have the larger 3 3/16ths hole span. I think the Schwinn Lincoln is the one I need looks like this.
Help please, can not seem to identify this bike? Five number serial 10168, or is that I0168? Has B10 rack? Has large Lincoln headbadge hole spacing 3 3/16inches.
Road King, took apart crank and greased it. New wheels and tires! Trying to get date on this one, looks as this bike was originally blue then green then barn red. Not original fenders. Serial number looks like 04FH 17893 is this 1940?
Yes the bike shop owner had to talk me into this bike no one wanted a womens bike. The lady that had it before me rode it all the time and had new rims laced in and tires put on. The look of the bike grew on me.
Thank you SJ_BIKER, good to know. Is the CABE store on Ebay going to be about the cheapest for the headbadge if they even exist. I bought the bike that way with no badge.
I bought this bike a long time ago. If I remember out of the basement of a bicycle shop. Would like to know what year it is if possible. Also if anyone has the correct headbadge for sale Schwinn The World round, 2 3/8 hole distance, the badge does not need to be in great shape.
I know that one the triangle rod in the top center bends down. And the rack in the picture has 2 holes at the fender bottom bracket attachment. I bet they made a couple of versions of this Rocket Ray Rack. And with the Chinese and overseas factories making things you basically need to take what...
They had this rack selling on Amazon, geeze. Some people liked it because it cleared there fenders, go figure. I'm suprised schwinn would take a take like rocket Ray, but all young people working there now they probably never heard of a rocket ray.
Okay, Rocket Ray Rack, thank you, you found it in the 2012 catalog! Thank you, just wanted some info on this Schwinn Rocket Ray Rack. Yes kinda dumb if they did not make a bike with frame bosses.
I think it is really meant for a bicycle that had rack stays like this FELT Cruiser. I wonder if Schwinn made any cruisers with welded on rack stays. And sadly no I don't have any 20inch Schwinns to try it on.
I do not think it was altered, the chrome is all intact. I think what one could do is bend the 2 rear rack stays down and that would bring it down, I do not think the chrome would come off with that adjustment. Then it would be lower on the 26inch wheel. Here it is on a 26 inch Schwinn Typhoon...
Yes I would just paint those rods silver. Around here in lower Alabama I don't know who would be rechroming. I like these sharpie paint markers for touching up. Seems the yellow matches Kool Lemon Speedster pretty well! Trying to attach a picture but it says upload file is to big for the server?
So it is a Genuine Schwinn Repop? The reflectors are very nice! But yes bad measuring on there part, would fit better on a 27inch wheel bike maybe? Im going to try it on a Schwinn Speedster and see how it fits on there.
No it is not a 24inch it is a regular 26" Schwinn Typhoon. This rack only has 1 hole at the end and does not look to be modified, chome is still intact. Thanks for the reply.
I have never seen a 4 reflector Schwinn rear rack like this, it sits very high off my rear tire. Could it be for a different wheel size? Does not attach at the seat post clamp.
