In the beginning stages of refurbishing a 1973 Raleigh Sport 3-speed with a SA AW hub. Need all 4 Sturmey Archer HSA 120 pawl springs. What is left of the current ones is just small rusty bits.
I picked up this step-thru today. There is no indication of brand on the headtube or chainguard, nor a serial number I can find. I am thinking Sears/JC Higgins Spaceliner that is missing the tank, but that is just a guess. Can anyone identify what brand it is and perhaps approximate year of...
I picked up this J C Higgins a few months ago and am curious what year it is. My guess is early 60's but I have not been able to pin it down. The serial number is on the left rear dropout. 502 46772 492208. The rear rim is in sad shape so I will be needing a replacement.

It has Cherry branded center pull brakes, Huret front derailleur, Shimano Eagle rear derailleur, Shimano "333" stem shifter, the spoke...
I recently picked up a 1984 Vista Cavalier 3 speed. I serviced the crank, front wheel and head set bearings. When I was tightening the fork top nut it shattered. Apparently it is aluminum, it is not magnetic. Does anyone have a top nut for this bike? A 30mm wrench fits (best I can tell, see...
