I need one of those! I have a Bevin bell with a clover on top. I'm going to try to grind the clover off. It get's painted black, so hopefully it will look 100%
You have a very nice bike @Goldslinger . Mine seems to be very original, and had blacked out pedals. My grips are also a little different, and I have a head badge that was a transfer onto steel (white and red paint).
Also, I ended up using the Kenda tires. The bead isn't exactly right, but they...
I actually found a 1947 sports tourist with the exact same seat. I plan to hang onto the original seat in original condition and restore the 1947 seat (the '47 seat looks identical, and is in similar condition. The '47 is in rough overall and the cool factor of a '47 is much less.
What is a good way to restore this cloth seat? I was thinking about starting with some black shoe polish to cover the white wear spots, but is there a way to re-cover it properly?

I am building a Westfield Columbia G519 WW2 tribute bike, but I have not found a set of Truss rods for it. I saw Bergerwerke has upper and lower truss brackets, but not the rods themselves. Can anyone point me to a set of truss rods (brackets would be good too). I'm willing to buy the whole fork...
Hello,
I'm new to vintage bikes. My long term goal is to get a WWII era military bicycle. In the short term, I picked up this bike last week because it looks like a military Huffman (at least to my newbie eyes).
The head badge says "Western Flyer" but the frame looks like some Huffmans that I...
